Chapter 25Kai When I return to the bar, it instantly becomes clear that Sarina has been observing me. “You can talk to him, you know,” she says to me while cleaning two glasses, shoving them in and out of the water-filled sink. She nods at Toby, and I can’t help but follow her eyes. Toby’s standing up, his hands balled into fists. “He looks upset,” she adds. She’s right; he does look upset. Still, I shake my head. “I can’t help him with that. I’m working, and I’m not ready to talk.” Sarina’s gaze lands on me.
