Chapter 26Kai On the third night after the incident, I find myself at work again, living on very little sleep and almost no food—just some dry crackers I found in my cupboard. And on this night, like on the previous ones, Toby’s here at the wine bar: same hour, different table. I don’t know whether to be relieved or annoyed by his presence, but my insides don’t seem to care, doing a summersault at the mere sight of him.
