Deep in the jungle, where even satellites lost clarity and silence was more dangerous than sound, stood a high-security Helios compound, a fortress of cold metal, surveillance towers, and encrypted walls.
The night outside was still, but inside, fury brewed like a storm ready to tear through steel.
Chiang Duan stumbled into the central chamber, his shirt bloodstained, his face bruised, ego shattered. His remaining men flanked him, what was left of his once-proud force. Defeated. Demoralized.
The room was sterile. Chilling. Overshadowed by a massive digital wall where masked faces of Helios’ Eastern Division Council flickered to life, obscured by shadows, voices digitally scrambled.
