My Mate, My Horrid Fate

As I was running so , I began replaying all the things that had went down within the last hour. How my father insulted me, twice. How my mother came to my rescue each time and how Jared turned our friendship into a haze of confusion. I was so lost in my thoughts that I wasn’t paying attention and ran straight into a tree, landing flat of my butt. “ ouch! Really hurt.“ A low growl seem to come from the top of the tree. “Watch where you’re going pup!” I look around confused, then I asked myself “did that tree really just talk?“ I’ve been slowly look up towards the top of the tree, and realize it’s not a tree at all just a really tall and handsome man. Not just any man and alpha, and not just any alpha our alpha. The alpha of the blue moon pack is standing right over me with the look of disgust on his face. My mouth is wide open because I cannot believe I just ran right into the alpha of the blue moon pack. “I… I am so very sorry sir. I wasn’t watching where I was going.I will never let it happen again!” And with that I quickly stand up and turn to walk away back in the direction I came. Then I feel the alpha strong hand on my wrist turning me back to face him. He begins to sniff me coming closer and closer to my neck, my marking spot. When he is that close to me I begin to sniff him as well. Even though I’m worthless I am still born into a family of wolves, therefore I have a heightened sense of smell. He smells amazing like vanilla and mint. Wait did I say vanilla and mint? Did I just sniff our Alpha?! Shocked by what I just did, I try to pull away only to feel both of his hands grasping my both of my wrists and holding them to my sides.

“Umm... Excuse me Alpha Mark, but, umm... Could I ummm... possibly, I don’t know. Go? Please?” Another growl, this one even deeper and louder than the last leaves his throat. And then with his alpha command he says into my ear, still sniffing my neck “No. Mine.” I began to tremble all over in fear. Did he just say mine? Like mine as in my mate?! No I must’ve heard that incorrectly to get clarification asked the Alpha, “Oh sorry I have a… Why can’t I go again?” He tightened his grip on my wrist and then moved away from my neck to look me dead in the eye. “Because little one, you are my mate! You are mine.” Whoa, yep he said what I thought he said. Wait! Did I just look the Alpha in the eye and hold his gaze? Something really must be wrong with me today, so I quickly look away and hold my gaze towards the ground. “Sorry Alpha… I didn’t mean to.” The alpha laughs a big gluttaral laugh. “You didn’t mean to what, hold my gaze? My little pup don’t even know you are the mate of the alpha of course you can look me in the eyes, my mate, and beta are the only ones I will allow to hold my gaze.” I shook my head and confusion, “I can’t be your mate alpha. I am your maid not mate. I am wolfless. I cannot be the mate of an alpha and be wolfless.” With that the alpha let go of my wrist and took a step back to really look at me. “I see. And whose daughter are you exactly?” Still looking anywhere else but at him I replied “I am the daughter of John and Shauna Walls, Alpha. My brother Carlos is your Gamma.” With that revelation the alpha began to circle me slowly. “I see. I do recall call Carlos speaking of you. Very recently, in fact. And here you are. You look alright. Not as what he described. And your sister Shayla, correct?” I looked up and back into the Alpha’s eyes. “Yes, that is correct alpha.“ At the realizing once again I was looking into his eyes and holding his gaze, I quickly put my head back down. “Sorry again alpha.“ The alpha just shook his head, “how many times must I tell you little pup? You do not need to apologize for holding my keys you are mine, mine can hold my gaze.” Staring at his chin instead of at his eyes I replied “right, sorry just a habit...I understand alpha.” For fear of getting beaten by the alpha, like I get beaten by everyone else of a higher rank, I flinch as he comes closer; preparing myself for my beating. “I see. Don’t worry I’m not going to beat you. You have given me no cause to.” With that he takes his index finger and raises my chin so that I am once again looking up into his eyes. “You are mine, and are such I hope you never give me cause to ever beat you.” I scrunch my four head in confusion. “But alpha I am wolfless remember? Don’t you want to reject me?” “ Have I done so yet?” I quickly shook my head no.

“Then what makes you think that I’m going to now? I heard you the first time Corra. You’re wolfless, I’m well aware of that: I can smell it on you. That doesn’t mean that I’m going to reject you. It doesn’t mean you are completely worthless to me.”

“I’m not?! But, I thought all omega were worthless to this pack? According to my father, and my brother, and my sister we are the ones who are always holding the pet back. We’re always having to be protected by the rest of the pack from outside forces. That’s why where the servants, we’re nothing more than servants to you all.” The Alpha put his right hand against my cheek.“Yes, that may be true. We are always having to protect you since you cannot protect yourselves. And you do make fine servants. But now, you will be serving me in a different way. My way. You will be giving birth to my pups. My heirs. I have waited so long for this.” At this very moment I was more mortified that I had ever been in my life. The look in his eyes, that of a starving wolf about to feast upon is fattening pray, was enough to make my heart skip a beat. And not in a good way. “Ummm… Alpha? May I go, home?” I didn’t know what else to say, I just knew I wanted to get away from him. As far away as I could as quickly as I could. “Why yes little mate, we may go home.“ My eyes grew big like almost out of the socket big as, he gestured in the direction of the pack house.. “I meant may I go to my home where maybe parents live?” A hesitantly gestured in the opposite direction. “Well of course why don’t you go home and tell your parents the good news. You have finally found good purpose within this pack, one that will serve us all well. And while you’re there you can go ahead and pack your things. I will send , No I will make sure you are escorted back to the pack house with your things.“ The alpha said brimming with the vibrant smile on his face, as he walked away in the direction of the pack house and let me, thankfully go back tomy parents house, alone.
