Chapter 9 I made wrong decision

“I’m so sorry for all the pains you went through blessing, why didn’t you stop back then.

“We became shot of money, things was really hard for us and I can’t set down doing nothing so I went back to mercy who introduced me to more people as the time went by. I no longer sleep at home anymore, I was enjoying myself that I soon forget about everything that happened, I no longer respect my mom anymore. I stopped going home,I started following different boys and sometimes I became pregnant; Mercy told me to get an abortion that I can’t have child at this age. So whenever I got pregnant I will get an abortion. I started making a lot of money and buying things for myself. My mom stop taking money from me when she find out what I was doing. I forgot about my family, I registered everything I did. I can’t go back home so I started leaving with my boyfriend who case me out of his house, all the money I had I spent them shopping with my friends. So I started leaving with mercy who run away from home too.

I don’t want you to be like us Sarah, you still have a long way to go. We have all make our choice in life so I want you to be different from all of us. You are a good girl and don’t look because of material things to spoil your life. Time we come and you will have everything you need ok. I wish I can change back the hand of time I would have not make this step in my life. Be great full you have your parents who love and care for you. We didn’t listen to our parents the time they were advising us. She said as she kept crying

“I’m so sorry, everything have already happen so you don’t need to keep blaming yourself. You did what you did because of your mom, you don’t want anything to happen to her that is why. So I want you to go and ask your mom for forgiveness and tell her everything that happens to you. She is your mother and she will understand everything than you staying here with mercy. I didn’t know she is this type of person, whenever I asked her who gave her money she is spending. She will say it’s her brothers who are in US so I didn’t suspected anything and it have been long we saw each other. Everything is going to be okay. I said as I hug her

“Thank you so much for understanding me, I will go and ask my mom for forgiveness. And I will start all over again to become a better person. I have to go now,see you some other time. She said as she went away. I couldn’t believe she went through all this, everyone with is own story to tell. I just feel bad for her, she didn’t mean for all of this to happen in the first place.

I went home and I couldn’t sleep that night, I kept thinking about everything that happened earlier. Why would Mercy have such plans for me, what wrong have I done to her to deserve all this. We all grow up together in the same street, we have been childhood friends ever since then; what wrong have I done to her to plan something like that against me. I wish I didn’t over heard them today what would have happen to me. I took her as my close friend, I couldn’t believe she is this type of person. How could she have done something like that to Blessing who is so innocent; she turn her into something else, I’m just feeling for the poor girl who have to go through all this. I was still busy thinking when my mom sit beside me.

“Sarah what is the problem, Ever since you got back from your friends place you have been moody all through. Talk to me my dear, You can share it with me. Mom said, I was thinking if I should tell her or not. I decided to tell her she is my mother after all.

“It is about blessing my friend the one who have a little sister, I over heard her and the rest talking today when I visit. I just feel pity for her, she doesn’t have to go through all that alone. I said as I tell my mom everything that happened including my friends plans towards me. She was shock when I told her everything that happened. She couldn’t believe it.

“I want you to cut all ties with her, hope I make myself clear! She’s bad influence. I just pity that poor child who have to go through all that. Hope you have see for yourself that there is nothing out there, those boys will just use you and dump you. You just have to wait for your time to come ok, now go to sleep tomorrow is a new day. Mom said as she went to her room she and dad shared. After a while I eventually fall asleep.

The next day at school I couldn’t pay attention when the teacher was teaching, My mind was in something else.

“Sarah what are you thinking in the middle of my class” Said Miss Anna who brought me back from my thought.

“I’m sorry ma, I was not thinking anything. I said as I feel everyone looking at me as if I heard two horns.

“Better stop thinking about your boyfriend in my class, when I’m done teaching you can continue daydreaming about him. Now pay attention,She said as she went back to her teaching. I was feeling ashamed of what she said because my crush was looking at me. Before you judge me let me explain how it happened. He was our class captain and he is so handsome. The first day I started my new school he have been the first person to talk to me and he borrowed me his notes to take home that day, so every since then I have crush for him. I think he also have crush for me because most times I usually see him looking at me all the time when I’m not paying attention. His sister is also my friend but she didn’t know I have crush on her brother. I kept it to my self.

When it was break time my friends come to me and said we should go out for break. I don’t feel like going out so I tell them to go without me. I need to update my note which I haven’t done yet. I was still writing when I feel someone beside me, I looked up and I was surprised by who was standing before me. It was Alex my crush. What was he doing here I asked myself

“Hi hope you don’t mind me sitting here” he asked referring to the sit next to me.

“Not at all, you can sit” I said trying to hide my smile.

“Biology, I said as pay attention to my notes.

“Let me help you for a while until my friends come, I’m waiting for them. He said

“No, thank you but I don’t want, I can manage on my own.i said not looking at him. Why did he want to help me,I didn’t ask him to help me.
