Lila's Pov My mom had always been unpredictable. But now, sitting in front of her, watching her twist a strand of her perfectly manicured hair while she smiled softly at me, I felt like I was missing something. Something big. “I know I’ve made mistakes, Lila,” she said, her voice laced with faux sincerity. “I didn’t mean to push you into something you didn’t want with Evan. I just...
