I refused to turn around, let alone acknowledge his presence.
“Lila” he called out again, but this time with more frustration, as I expected it to. Two could play at his game. I kept staring into the distance, hoping he’d just go away.
“Are you just going to ignore me now?” He said with annoyance.
The audacity of this man. I wanted to yell at him, hit him, anything to let him know that just because I'm not some fancy stuck up elite means he could treat me like sh*t– but I didn't.
I tried to keep my cool without turning around.“Why not?” I replied. “You’ve been using me when it’s convenient, and then tossing me aside when you don’t need me.”
