My life is one that people read about in stories.
Saying its all make believe and ideas to fuel movies.
Oh how wrong are they.
My name is Emma. Emma Rosetta. I'm the daughter of the most feared man of our kind. Alexander Rosetta.
Yet fear him, I don't.
He's taught me how to survive in this world. Taking my under his wing since the day I turned.
My heart no longer beats. My thirst is only for blood. Young or old. I don't stop twice to let age effect me.
The towns people fear me, just as much as they fear my father.
Last night however, did not go quite to my plan.
"Why did you do that Andrew?" I screamed pushing him against the wall. The force leaving an imprint.
My hands grasping the sides of his pale, ice cold skin.
"Emma please, it was an accident".
"Would you like my to break your pretty little neck?" I growled in his ear.
"Emma" an oh so familiar voice echoes in my head.
"Father, I'm dealing with this fool. He took his prey in plain sight. Endangering myself and the entire hunting team".
"I'll take care of this one now".
Nodding, I bowed In Front of my father before stepping behind him.
In one swift move, my father broke his neck. The sound reminds me of breaking glass.
Poor Andrew. Not even having time to beg for his life.
Screams and cries fill the settlement outside our home. His mate weeping for the loss.
My father allowed me to leave his company. He's sending myself and a few of his delegates children to a school, not far away from the abandoned village we terrorised last night.
I was more than happy to find out my close friend, Amelia, will be joining me.

As the heat filled my room I knew it was daylight.
Washing, I removed any traces of blood I could see on my body. The water turning all shades of red.
Drying off. I tried to find clothes that were more suitable for a school. My clothes are more the old fashioned type.
Flicking my dark red hair out my eyes, I spotted a case.
Shifting over, I studied the case up and down. Sniffing all around to find a sent. Yet the only sent I picked up was mine.
Did they belong to me?
Opening the case, the lid slammed down. Sending piles of old stale dust into the air.
Coughing I wafted the dust out of my eyes.
I looked down to see all my old belongings. You wouldn't think that a year would make you forget so much about yourself. Yet you'll always remember the day you got bitten.
Pulling out one item. I studied it. A knee length, pale pink dress with a cut out back.
This'll do I thought.
Smiling, I slowly fell in love with this new me.
I must remember to mention this to my father. See if I can switch up my wardrobe.
Sighing, I gathered everything I needed for school.
Amelia's thoughts became stronger. She must be close. So with a click of my fingers I was standing next to her.
Oh did I mention, the day I turned also gave me some kind of black magic. So I can basically do anything. It just doesn't work on my hunts.
"You need to stop doing that" Amelia mumbled.
"Aww is my partner in crime jealous?" I chuckle.
She rolled her eyes.
"Mr Rosetta?"
"Yes Amelia?"
"How can we go out in the sun? It will burn us?" She asked.
Clicking his fingers, my fathers medicine or chemistry guy came running from behind him.
"Drink this and you will not burn. It'll last for the time you're out of this area." He told us. "It'll stop working as soon as you re enter the barrier".
Nodding we drank the potion.
Amelia's long blonde hair moving in all directions as she slowed the liquor.
"Now get going or you'll be late."
"Yes father".
I clicked my fingers and Amelia and myself were now staring at our new nightmare.
For once, I'm actually scared.
We've been told what humans do to our kind.
"We better find out what's happening Em" Amelia sighed as she made her away along the path.
Looking around my nose filled with all these different smells. Things I've never smelt since i became what I am now.
Vampires don't belong in this place. We are here to hunt. Not to study.
My teeth twitching with all the pulsing bodies around me.
Keep your cool Emma. Keep your cool.
Taking a deep breathe I followed my only friend.
