Amber

Dismissal na at hindi pa ako lumabas ng room. Hihintayin ko nalang lumabas si Sky. After a few minutes, nagsilabasan na ang mga classmates ni Sky pero hindi ko siya nakita. I decided to go to kuya Syl’s room baka nandon na si Sky.

“Kuya where’s Sky?” I asked. I also saw kuya Sol. Kay manong Henry siguro siya sasakay.

“I thought she was with you,” he answered. Si Sky kasi, palaging nawawala pero parang iba ang nararamdaman ko ngayon. I feel nervous, I don’t know why.

Naghintay kami sa waiting shed, dito kasi kami naghihintay kapag nawawala si Sky.

Napansin kong kanina pa nakatitig si kuya kay Roxanne.

“Kuya baka matunaw na si Roxanne sa kakatitig mo sa kaniya.”

“I never saw her for the past few weeks, is she a new student?” Not gonna lie, Roxanne is so pretty.

She has a short hair which suits her, nice body, a sharp nose, thick eyebrows, long eyelashes and cute round eyes. Masyado nga lang maputi, parang walang dugo. I wonder what made Sky hate her, she seems nice.

“I don’t think so,” tatawagin ko sana si Roxanne kaso hindi ako sure kung kilala niya ako at nahihiya rin ako.

After 5 minutes, lumapit na si kuya Syl kay Roxanne. Nag-usap sila at biglang nagsmile at nagwave si Roxanne sa akin, I smiled and waved back.

After hours of waiting, wala parin si Sky. 4:00 p.m na. Baka umalis siya kasama yung mga friends niya kasi nag early dismissal yung school namin for some reasons.

Lumapit ako kay kuya Syl.

“Kuya, are we going to go home na? Sky is still not here.”

“Let’s take Roxanne home first,” I’m cool with it so I agreed.

“Hindi, okay lang. Malapit lang naman yung bahay namin,” she smiled.

“Are you sure?” kuya asked, she nodded.

Sumakay na kami sa sasakyan ni kuya Sol para pumunta sa mall, baka nandun si Sky pero wala parin.

“Let’s just wait sa school baka pupunta sa school yun,” I suggested. Pinaandar na ni kuya yung kotse.

We waited sa parking lot for like 20 minutes and saw a BMW car coming. I can’t see what’s inside since it’s tinted. Someone opened the car window and I saw Sky. Sino yung kasama niya? She waved at us at pumarking na ang sinasakyan niya. Pinuntahan namin ni kuya si Sky.

When kuya Syl opened the door, may nakita akong parang kakaiba. The car is full of black cats and I saw a man wearing full black and a mask. A whisper in my ears said-

“Sky is in danger,”

“Thanks God, you’re finally awake,” said Amber while wiping her tears.

What happened to me again? And why am I here in the hospital? Lumabas si Amber para tawagin sina kuya, mom and dad. They all hugged me.

“Is she okay now, doc?” mom asked my personal doctor, si Dr. Evangeline.

“She just needs to rest for 1 more week. After that, everything will be alright,” she reassured and everyone felt relieved. “Can I talk to Sky for a bit?” everyone went outside.

“How are you feeling hija?” doc asked.

“Wala na po akong nararamdamang sakit,” I replied.

“Good. Now, I want you to be careful Sky. Don’t trust anyone except your family, okay? Try staying with Amber and your kuyas. Wag ka munang gumala, understand?” I smiled and nodded. So that means I can’t hang out with my friends anymore.

Bakit parang alalang-alala si doc? Why do I have to avoid and not trust other people? May kinalaman ba yan sa sakit ko? As far as I remember, nadulas lang ako sa cr dahil sa pusa ni Jetro.

After days of resting, they allowed me to go to school. Pinalipat din si Amber sa section namin para mabantayan ako. Si doc Evangeline daw ang nagpalipat sa kaniya.

“Sky! I missed you,” Kate said and hugged me.

Hinila ako ni Amber papunta sa likod.

“Diba doc Evangeline told you to avoid others? Let’s listen to her Sky. Dito nalang tayo uupo,” tumango lang ako at umupo na.

I’m looking for someone. Si Jetro.

“Do you know Jetro? Where is he?” she gave me her confused face.

“Who’s Jetro?” she doesn’t know who Jetro is?

“The guy who always wear mask.”

“Oh, that guy? His name is Aj what do you mean?” So Jetro is also keeping his name a secret.

Oh I forgot, he told me to never mention his name again.

“Yes that guy, where is he?” biglang umupo si Jetro sa harap ko.

“He’s right infront of you,” Amber replied. “Siya ba yung kasama mo noon?” tumango ako. “You should avoid him Sky. I think he’s a different person,” she whispered.

“Amber, tell me, are you and doc Evangeline trying to hide something from me?” tinaasan ko siya ng kilay.

“No, it’s for your safety. We need to follow what doc said,” I understand Amber. She’s just trying to protect me but I think they’re hiding something from me.

“ Can I hangout with Aj? He’s a friend of mine and he’s a good person.”

“That guy? Sky can’t you see? He’s being suspicious,” I noticed that Jetro looked at us.

“I heard my name,” aniya at napatakip ng bibig si Amber.

“Uhm, I was gonna invite you to our house, yeah to our house,” I smiled awkwardly.

“What? You can’t do that Sky,” pagtutol ni Amber.

“Sure,” he replied.

“Come on, sa bahay lang naman Amber eh,” napabuntong hininga si Amber.

“But what if-“ hindi niya natapos ang sasabihin niya dahil biglang pumasok ang teacher namin.

“Good morning class.”
