Chapter 5: My Nightmares

1279 Words
"What the hell are you doing here?" I yelled at Mr. Alex as my eyes rolled at him. But instead, he sat down, with his eyes showing concern. "Relax, you need to rest more," he said to me as I stared at his cute face. His sexy blue eyes shine inside mine as my whole being seizes. "Why are you pretending?" I asked; he refused to stared at me, his eyes fixed on his phone. I tried seating down, but my body pulled back in pain as my weak eyes shut down. Alex noticed, his hands wrapped on my chest as he tapped my shoulder gently while he smiled. What are you doing?" I asked, pulling him off as he stared in shock. I slid my eyes open as I sat down finally. "Your mom is upset with you; I had to calm her down, but I think you two need to talk!" He meant good, but I didn't care. How on earth will my crush be my stepdad? I couldn't wrap my head around it. "Do you love her?" My sudden question pulled him off, as his eyes were shaken, finding an answer. But as soon as he tried to respond, the door slid open, leaving me to shut my eyes firmly. "Is she awake?" Mom asked, my eyes still firmly shut. What the hell does she want, pretending to care after showing me that she cares about her so-called boyfriend rather than her only daughter? "Yes...but she is fast asleep," I heard Mr. Alex speak. "Please, i need you in the room!" Mom said, before shutting the door hard. "What the hell is wrong with her, shutting my door so hard?" I murmured to myself as I shut my eyes firmly. "She had left; you can open your eyes," he said. Immediately I opened my eyes. Staring at his blue, shiny eyes, he smiled at me. "Get some rest, then later you speak to your mom. I don't like this argument at all!" He said. Immediately, he walked out of my room, shutting the door smoothly. My eyes rolled at the door, even though no one was at it. I moved my body out as I held my chest in pain. I didn't care about Mom or her so-called love; she didn't care about me, her daughter. I walked over to my bathroom while I brushed my teeth. Staring at my messy hair, with it wrapped in a ponytail. "When did I do that?" I pointed at the ponytail I didn't recall doing . I sighed at myself after knowing Mom definitely did it. After a few minutes of cleaning up, I walked out of the bathroom and then put on my houseclothes. My tiny lap was covered in a sexy blue gown and a little head tie on my head. Matching the blue color, yes, the blue color is my favorite; I can't live without it. I strode to my laptop after minutes of searching for my phone, but I couldn't find it. On my laptop, as I logged into my i********:, I got a lot of text messages from my friends. I couldn't touch each of them. I knew they were worried about me, but right now, I'm in a damn mess. But suddenly, a knock pulled me out, and I screamed in fear. "Yes, who is that?" I asked, but there was no response; the person took a deep breath before speaking. "Mrs. Curts requested you for lunch!" She said. "Alright, thank you," I said, still wondering if it wasn't Linda, my favorite maid. But anyway, I yawned as my eyes stared at the time, shocked it was already afternoon. "Goddamnit!" I screamed, pulling my legs over to the door while I walked out of the room. I sighted Mom with Mr. Alex; the laughter drew me closer as my ears wrapped at the sound. I noticed it came from Mom as I took a deep breath before walking from the stairs straight to the dining room. Mom didn't blink an eye, her face more focused on Mr. Alex. I knew she noticed my present, but she was too stubborn to talk to her daughter. I ignored her and sat down as Alex smiled at me. "You're here!" He said while I nodded with a smile. Mr. Alex grabbed some food for me, placing it on my plate before focusing on Mom still. "Thank you!" Immediately, Mom blinked her eyes at me as she spied me a little but suddenly turned her face away from mine. I grabbed my spoon and fork while devouring the salad with some fried eggs and drank some fresh orange juice. "What's your plan for today?" Mr. Alex suddenly asked, leaving me choking. While I grabbed a glass of water, diluting it down my throat before clearing my throat to speak. "Nothing at all, just going to rest today," I answered; Mom's face looked surprised. She wondered how come we were on good terms, and not only that, we talked like long-term friends. "Do you two know each other?" Mom asked, her eyes perched on mine. But I didn't utter a word, continuing to eat while I ignored her. "Not really. We solved our differences, and I will be pleased if you both do the same!" Mr. Alex assumed. Maybe he just met Mom; he doesn't know how she reacts; Mom doesn't care about that; she is ready to be silent for years, just as she did to Dad. "Can't you speak?" Mom's sudden words threw me off guard. My hands tighten on the table as I squeeze my spoon firmly, not letting my hands punch her hard. She stood still, but instead, she stood up from her seat, walked over to me, and pulled my wrist. I screamed in pain; she held my wrist firmly while her eyes stared at mine. "You can't speak? b***h!" Tears dripped down my throat; Mom was harsh on me. I pulled my wrist off her hands as I rolled my eyes at her, letting go of my emotions. "You have changed; I prefer Dad's family to you; you're just a pretender who regrets ever having me in your damn life!" I yelled at her. But immediately, she tried slapping me; Mr. Alex held her from the back while he hugged her tightly. Preventing her from slapping me hard, I rolled my eyes at her again, not caring what she would do. "I'm done here!" I screamed my lungs out as I ran to my room. I walked inside my room while I shut the door firmly. Then, I jumped to my bed and shut my eyes. Tears dripped down my cheeks, leaving me with a reddish face. "How could she?" I asked myself, sassed more; I was ready to leave the damn house for her and never see her. She always treated me like trash, and each time she found a lover, it felt like she regretted ever having me. I screamed, with my hands on my head, while tearing up. After a few minutes of tearing my eyes off, my door slid open. "What is this? If you want me to apologize to you, I don't give a damn!" I yelled at the person at the door. Not caring about Mom, if she came here to rant her forgiveness into me, I wouldn't change a dime. "It's me, Alex!" The cold, sexy voice spoke as my head turned at the door. "What are you doing here?" I asked, surprised. "I love you more. I can't stay without you. Let me make you feel better." What the hell! Is this a dream?
