April 23, 2020 Barcelona – Renowned Canadian author Johnny Coma, 68, best known for his 2004 novel Night Street, a surprise international hit, has died in Barcelona, Spain. His ex-wife, photographer Vivienne Pink, said in a statement this morning that Coma died of a heart attack from complications of the novel coronavirus COVID-19. Pink said Coma had had an underlying heart condition, angina, for many years, and had had triple bypass surgery in 1993. What with the restrictions on movement in the city of Barcelona, she and her husband, Alexi Green, a metal sculptor and security consultant, had been staying in their apartment, as had Coma, who lived upstairs from them.
