We are not ashamed of our kinsmen the Czechs and the Moravians, however much you would like to make laughingstocks of them, so that we should break the bonds between us, bonds which are salt in your eyes. Have a look into Moravia — you shall find there such cleanliness as is never seen in the hovels of your people. Tell us, in what way have you ever been deceived by the Czechs, unless it be their surpassing you in art and science and industry that you call deception?
