The Slovaks have warred, and war they shall, faithfully, on behalf of their motherland, but she must deal with them as she does with townspeople — as her own, and not — as some of you would wish — as vile slaves, foreigners and disloyal knaves. Heed not his calumniatory and iniquitous words, neighbours and fellow citizens! Give them no credit, for they have arisen from a heart swollen with pride and a mind that has strayed from reason; a man that desires the ruin of the Slovaks for his own advantage.
