Chapter 24: Nature Walk
The village in Middleton very rarely gets outside news, but I feel like over the years there is one story that the people of Middleton have heard of. Once I heard Lilith say it I remembered there is an old story about a guard tasked with overseeing the edge of the continent. I think I heard the story from my grandpa that there was a guard that keeps the edge of the country sealed themselves. Almost seems like a fantasy to even suggest that there could be someone capable of guarding people from a part of the country themselves. I wasn't ignorant enough to ignore a story my grandpa told however, but I would see for myself whether it was just a story or not. The meadows were pretty close now, we had been walking for another half day after hunting, and stopping for water a few times. Rena not
