Qwell told me the story of how her father had tasked her with guarding the forest since according to her the task had been passed down for generations. The dragonkin's typically had many families that ruled the upper echelon of their society, and Qwell was from one of the four royal families. The Blackhelm family had been apart of the ruling class for thousands of years, and according to Qwell each family had a task they had to fulfill. The Blackhelm family were the protectors that guarded the other families, and as such the descendants would look after the dragonkin's interests. According to Qwell the town ahead Zariah has only humans in it, but the humans living there had apparently originally descended from dragonkin.
