New Turns In Fates

. *Tia’s POV* “Miss Campbell, please follow me to the office for your interview.” A tall blonde woman with striking honey colored eyes came up to me to guide me to the interview room. The waiting area for the candidates was in a combination of Cobalt blue and light grey. The reception desk where this woman sat was in light grey while the wall behind her was similar blue. However, the sitting area was opposite of that, blue seats and grey walls. For today’s interview, there were many candidates present. All of whom were tall, slim and beauties dressed in rather provocative outfits than professional one befitting the interview. I have arrived here on time as directed by them, sharp at 8 in the morning. But it appears that other candidates were more enthusiastic about getting this job than me for they were already crowding the place before me. Upon my arrival I got many stink eyes from the candidates as I wasn’t dressed like them, but rather dressed professionally in yellow shirt paired with black pants. As the interview proceeded, one after another they were guided to the room where they were interviewed and shortly came out with disappointed faces. Perhaps they got rejected. “You may enter now miss.” We appeared before a black glass door but one could not see through it as it was so dark but I am certain that the person sitting inside must be able to see outside from there. Nodding my head at her, I looked towards the door and she left without anything as much as any expression on her face. I pushed the door’s handle and stepped in. After entering, I stopped at the door for a couple seconds before walking towards the seat. The interior was more luxurious than I had expected. The first thing that I noticed was the floor to ceiling high glass wall in front. The color scheme was rather impressive with two huge golden rings hanging down the ceiling as a decorative modern chandelier in middle of the room. The white marbled floor had few streaks of black in them here and there. On my right was a floor to ceiling high dark wood bookshelves with transparent glass sliding doors. A pair of dark brown curtain gathered on left side of the glass walls that overlooked the city at such height. The walls were all white with black colored couches on my left hand side against the wall which was quite a contrast. Finally, under the circular ring chandelier was a spotless white desk, though the recliner seat on either sides were also in black color. The recliner seat where the interviewer might be sitting was facing the glass walls hence I could not see the person as he or she was completely hidden behind it. I intentionally walked making my belle shoes to tap against the marbled floor so that the person gets to know of my arrival. I settled myself on the seat waiting for the person to face me and start the interview. Seconds had passed but still the recliner did not turn towards me. Instead of wasting my time waiting for them to notice me, I initiated to talk first. Taking a breath I opened my mouth. “Good morning Sir.” I said as I pushed back my spectacles in place. “Did I allow you to speak yet?” a stern yet charmingly alluring voice spoke up from behind the seat. It turned out to be a man’s. Judging by the luxurious interior, the interviewer must be the boss of this company. What he said was incredibly rude to hear. “With all due respect, you did not, sir. But I wasn’t directed to stay quiet either.” As politely as I could, I told him, trying not to offend him. Suddenly the recliner seat turned and a pair of piercing grey orbs came into view. His eyes looked at me sharply as his pinkish luscious lips were pressed together and I guess I just did offend him with what I said. “You have a smart mouth.” he replied staring at me as he continued to judge. “Thank you.” I broke a small smile on my face thanking him. “I wasn’t complimenting you. You are here for an interview, focus on that.” quite rudely he commented and looked down at my resume before him. His eyes once again met my black ones. “Why did you choose our company- ‘SORINA’ to work in? What are your reasons?” he spoke with his expressions neutral. “Firstly, why not ‘SORINA’? Throughout the years, this company has gained enough popularity all around the world and initially it’s natural that anyone who’s qualified would prefer to work here. Secondly, I have myself been to one of your restaurants here in Budapest once and I was very much pleased by the way customers are treated and serviced there. This is my reason for why I want to work in this company only.” I spoke confidently and honestly while he quietly listened to my explanation. “Why do you think you’re qualified to apply to work here?” “I have majored in Hotel and Business management and have one year’s experience in the same field from back in Austria. I am fluent in two languages English and Hungarian other than German for I suppose that having learnt a foreign language is helpful if the company is dealing internationally.” I replied him. He remained quiet once again and looking at him one could not guess what he may be thinking. “I hate tardiness. So don’t be late tomorrow. Arrive sharp at 8. Other details about your position as my personal assistant will be informed to you by Miss Smith who guided you here. Your working hours will be from 8 to 4 in the evening but if I need your assistance at any time of the day, you will be required to assist me. Is that acceptable by you?” He spoke expressionlessly. That’s means I passed the interview? A smile brought up upon my face as I realized it. “Of course, I accept it. Thank you very much sir. I assure you that you won’t be disappointed at all by hiring me.” I tried to answer professionally and calm, though I was overly delighted by this acceptance. “You may leave now.” he commanded as he turned to face his laptop, completely ignoring me. I nodded and stood up to leave. Before exiting the office I did not forget to give him a last look and found him immersed into his work with a stoic face. It appears that working with him is going to be a little boring and tedious. As I passed the reception desk, the woman name Miss Smith came to me and congratulated for clearing the interview after which I left the building riding down the lift. The building is 17 floors high, having the exterior with glass walls. Whereas the entrance of it had ‘SORINA, Enterprise’ written above in bold golden letters. Taking a cab I returned back to my rented apartment which was only twenty minutes drive away from this office. On my way back I ordered some take outs to eat. From tomorrow onward everything’s gonna change and take a new turn in our fates.
