Kris's POV
"Kris!" Luhan tossed the ball towards my direction. I lazily received it in one hand.
My mind is pre-occupied by what happened in the whole day.
"What are you thinking, dude?" Luhan asked sitting beside me. "You seemed spaced out."
"Nah~ never mind." I answered hoping he wouldn't dig more of it.
He laughed. "Ara! Your brain is full of Chorong, Chorong, Chorong----"
I hit him with the ball on his shoulders for him to keep quiet.
"Dude, admit it." He tapped my shoulders. "You like her."
I hit him with my towel, but he is laughing so hard.
Seriously, what's really wrong with Luhan that he laughs all the time?
Luhan, Lay and Kai knows it wasn't intentional that I'll bully Chorong. I didn't mean to hit her with a baseball.
It was Kai's fault that the ball went inside their room because he hit me with it while we were joking around the corridor.
I went inside to get the ball but it hit her. When I saw her, it was strange that I didn't know what to do. I panicked and pretended to be cool.
Starting that day, I don't know but I just wanted to keep getting her attention. I even eat at the school cafeteria just to do that.
But my friends didn't know about it. I told them I'm lazy to eat outside.
We, actually, eat outside during lunch to avoid fan girls giving us anything during lunch. Like one time, when I was still a freshman, a girl gave us a big lunch box of Japanese food. We were all excited to eat it, and we ended up having to be sent to the infirmary due to stomach ache and diarrhea.
And oh~ they even follow us to our houses. One day, when I was about to take a bath, I was shocked to see a girl inside the bathroom. Crazy! Those were really traumatizing!
That's how I ended up being having a bad boy image. For them to stop following me around.
"Dude, I'll go home first today. Noona texted me to be home early." I told Luhan, but of course, Noona did text me. I just want to avoid the topic.
"Noona!" I greeted my older sister as soon as I entered the convenience store.
She owns this convenience store. When she was younger, she took all the part time jobs she could in the States just to save money for a business.
Well, she is just a year older than me, but she acts really maturedly. Nowadays, she goes to a good college. My Noona is pretty brainy you know.
"Kris!" she greeted me with her eye smile. "Come here!" she got something under the cashier's table.
"Where was your part timer? Why are you alone here again?" I asked.
"I'm still looking for a new one. The previous quit today." She sighed. "How am I supposed to go to school if I don't have a part timer?"
"I'll part time for you." I suggested.
"Without salary?"
"Noona!"
"Isn't it that mom sends you lots of money from Canada? Oh! And your dad even bought you a new bike. Why do you need salary?" Her sarcastic tone. "Chaja! (Tada!)" She put on a brown hat on my head. "Wow! My brother looks gorgeous!"
I took it off. "Noona, this isn't my style."
"Tsk." She crossed her arms. "Everything is not your style. Everything! Stop kidding me Kris!"
"Jinjja Noona. Why would a Kris wear a hat? It isn't Kris at all." I also crossed my arms while talking lazily.
She gave me a pissed face. "Neo! Neomu napeun neo! (You're so bad). Noona bought this hat for you thinking it looks good on you and you're telling me it isn't your style. Are you insulting my fashion sense?"
"Noona. Stop wearing short shorts and skirts. Your boyfriend is getting so much headache because of you."
"Stop changing the topic Kris." She took the hat off from my hands because I was playing on it. "You even told me Chorong isn't your style when she is such a sweet and adorable girl---"
"How did you know Chorong?"
Who told her about her?
It must have been Luhan's mouth. That guy...!
"Well.." she moved her shoulder to tell me that what I was thinking is right.
Luhan.
"What did he tell you?" That guy must have made up stories again.
She gave me a meaningful smile. "He told me everything."
"Everything?"
What words did come out from that guy's mouth? Argggh!
She nodded. "He told me how you bullied her so I concluded that you like her and I even told her about it and----"
"WHAT?!!!"
I think I'm going insane. She told her about it? When?!
"Stop kidding me, sis!" I fake a laugh hoping she is really joking and just playing around with me to get me to wear the hat she bought.
She laughed. "No, I'm not kidding. She was here like days ago.. I saw her exchanging fierce glances with you so----"
"WHAT?!" I remember now. She was really here in the convenience store days ago, and what was she doing here that time? "Andwe, Noona! You can't be kidding me! What did you tell her?"
"I told her you like her."
"Noona!!!"
She gave me that innocent facial expression. "Wae, nae dongsaeng-ah? (Why, my younger sibling?)"
"I don't like her, Noona. She isn't my style. Jinjja!" I insisted.
"Eyyyyyyy! (It's a Korean expression saying the person doesn't believe what the other person told her) My dear dongsaeng, I know you withdrew money yesterday and bought her new books."
"You're the one who bought the books?"
That familiar voice. It can't be. She heard it? Why is she here again?
"Chorong-ah!" My sister exclaimed.
I didn't even dared to face her.
I felt like I couldn't move.
I closed my eyes to think of what to do.
Kris, say something. Do something.
