Mabel didn’t hold back, delivering a resounding slap across Lisa’s face. The suddenness of her action left everyone in the room utterly stunned. Lisa cupped her cheek, glaring daggers at Mabel, her eyes a storm of disbelief and fury.
“How dare you hit my mother!” In an instant, Abigail, who had been simmering on the sidelines, exploded into action. She lunged at Mabel, arms flailing wildly as if ready to strike back.
Despite her physical limitations, Mabel mustered all her strength to sidestep two paces, narrowly avoiding the attack.
