It's confirmed that Jin was not in the best state when he did not compliment my nasty looking dinner as usual last night. Instead, he kept his head low while sitting on the sofa (although he could not feel the soft surface) as the sad face never left his feature even once.
I even sacrificed my dinner time at my aunt's house just to give him a company, yet his smiles were definitely fake and also, I tried to not puke at my own dinner because last night I made it nastier ― barely edible ― than usual so that he would be fired up again to give comments on it. In the end, my efforts of bringing back his mood were mere nothing.
Sighing, I continued pressing the keyboard as I tried to regain my focus on my report, spirits pumping since it was near the end of the month which meant time to receive my salary would come soon.
My mind was distracted by the image of a sad Kim Seokjin once in a while, and he did not follow me to work today, which worried me a bit. It's so not him.
"Mirae-ssi." I felt a tap on my shoulder. I spun my chair to where the person called me stood, as I travelled my eyes from his torso up to his face.
Park Jimin.
The red hues that my body produced whenever I get embarrassed probably were showing off the fifty shades of red right now and my hands began sweating at the sight of him. That killer eye smile was out of this world and I honestly wanted to flee from this situation.
Most importantly, why did he come here anyway? I noticed that he came to visit me more often and that's really odd. He's a senior. Moreover, we're not that close to have an actual conversation. Mostly we only talk about work related topics and some useless and dead conversations like how are you and anything along that line.
"Yes?" I stood up, smiling politely. Inside, I held a festival to celebrate the phenomenon of a Byun Mirae not stuttering while giving an answer to a Park Jimin.
"U ― Uhm," he averted his gaze, scratching his nape as I could see tint of pink splattered across his face, for who knows why. "So I found a seemingly good restaurant and I kind of want to try it out with you... ? Like, you seem so nice and I want to have a chit-chat with you. Ugh, this is so awkward of me." He rubbed the back of his head while laughing sheepishly.
That very moment I thought I had lost my sanity and my hearings began hallucinating, or maybe this was a mere dream.
I had to pinch my hand discreetly at the back of my waist just to make sure if this was really happening or just a piece of my imagination, and what happened at the moment turned out to be a real thing.
"Of course, it would be really nice." Was the only sentence that I could utter in the midst of this daze.
Jin must be really proud of me because this whom he called nasty girl finally have a date planned. And it was my crush who asked me to have this friendly dinner with him.
