Chapter 04

332 Words
Drowning my body beneath the lukewarm water in bathtub was probably the only thing that kept me sane from this draining life. The tranquillity I got to feel and the sweet scent from the soap were literally everything. In my twenty-four hours, the only peace I could get was during this time ― bathing. The only time Jin could not interrupt me. But boy was I wrong. "Mirae~ let me wash your back!" That annoying high pitched voice called, causing me to jolt a bit from my comfortable position, splashing the warm water out from the bathtub in my attempt to cover my private parts. "You perverted ghost! What on earth are you doing?" My face was already heated because of the water, but now? It probably looked like a boiled crab. He shook his head as he held his hips. "Ish, this girl! I came here to check the temperature and to scrub your back. What an ungrateful brat," he said disapprovingly. "Besides, you have nothing for me to see anyways. I'm not interested," he added which really triggered me. During a time like this, I wish I had some kind of spell to erase his existence from my life. Gritting my teeth, I splashed water at his face, but of course it just passed through his translucent body. He stuck his tongue out and made mocking expression in return. I sighed and finally gave in. There's nothing I could do to against this ghost anyway. My efforts and methods to shoo him away were always futile. "Can you please just give me privacy? Besides, you're a ghost and you cannot touch any object except me." Now it was me who had to remind him. He looked baffled and scratched his head. "Whoopsie, my bad! I completely forgot about that, I'm sorry," he apologized, giving me a wave of shock. His expression morphed into a slightly sad one. "I'll just… leave." He looked down and flying away through the walls.
