"Bernard, what's going on, why are you smiling at me continuously?" I asked him, as I was getting out of patients towards his unexplainable smiles.
He was shocked at my question, as he wasn't expecting me to ask him in such a manner and his looks were evidence of that.
"I'm smiling because I'm happy and I don't think that's a crime... Do you have a problem with my smiles?" He answered with a hint of displeasure towards my question, as he also questioned me with his eyebrows lifted.
I decided to keep quiet, as I looked away from him; to avoid any unnecessary argument.
'I believe there are a lot of things on Bernard's mind and for him to be smiling like that at me, it simply means he knows something; which I don't know... I just hope he hasn't found out that I was in his room at midnight
