chapter 4
Ryan pov:
Hollow.
Empty.
That was what I felt when I left her. Being stabbed by the knife would have been less painful than this act. But it broke me, it broke me to get married to someone who is not her. But it had to be done. I would rather she hates me and live away then her being six feet under the ground. I made sure the news of my marriage reaches her. I want her to hate me. It would be better for her to hate me and move on than living a life of misery. She deserved better, so much better. She deserves happiness.
I was going to be a father, but I wished the mother would've been her, and not Rimsha. Everyone got what they wanted except me. I lost everything. My life. Love. Family. But if I had to do it again in order to keep her safe, I'll do it without a second thought.
"Mr. Nawaz, Mr. Emerson is here. You have a meeting with him." I was bought out of my thoughts by my secretary. Sighing I nodded towards Emily. "Thankyou Emily, please bring him in." She smiled and left. Sitting straight I waited as a man around my age came in. Mr. Emerson had been my good friend for two years now. Nial Emerson, that's his name, runs a successful business dealing in restaurants. He is a master, owns one of the finest chef in whole state. Often times organise charity functions and other functions. He had sandy blonde hair with deep blue eyes. He was nearly as tall and build as me.
I gave him a smile and stood up shaking his hand. "Welcome my friend, what do I owe this pleasure for?" He smirked and took a seat, "found you a girl." He said with a wink. I rolleed my eyes with a sigh.
"You know Niall I'm not into that stuff." He scoffed, "No offence buddy, but how long are you going to suffer for that ungrateful b***h. I mean he flirted with me, even had the audacity to propose. I'd say good riddance."
I knew he was talking about Rimsha. And I won't disagree with him on anything. That woman tricked me to name everything in her names. But due to unforeseen circumstances she's dead along with my unborn. But that was a year ago. After her death, everything came back to me. I visited grandpa in hopes to see her, but they had told she left. I tried asking but they never told me. How much I wanted to see her, hold her, my belle.
"Niall, Don't talk foul about dead, she got what she sown. Anyways, why are you here?" He grinned and took out an envelope from his suit pocket, pushing it towards me. Taking it I read the big bold letters printed, "CHARITY FUNDRAISING" that was enough to give me the idea of why he was here. I nodded towards him, "I'll be there."
He looked me bemused and raised a brow, "so, that's it. No lunch?" I rolled my eyes and shake my head at him. "You oversized fat cells. It's not lunch time yet." He baarked out a laugh and leaned forward, "darling, these muscles need food to look this good." He pointed towards his biceps and abs. Niall and his giant ego. I sighed and got up, "com'on, let's feed you before those muscles deflate." I suppress a grin at his horrified face. He puched my shoulder making me scowl at him but he just smirked. What a child!
After lunch he went back and I came back to office to work. Pushing the thoughts of her away in mind forcefully. After some time, my PA called to inform me of function I had to attend at an elementary school. Getting up I checked myself and made my way to my car. The drive there was quick and I arrived
There on time.
Getting out, I was greeted with the principal and some teachers of the school, "hello, Mr. Nawaz. It's an honor to have you here. Please come this way." We made our way in a building, I was following the teachers walking behind them as I examined the school. I stopped in my tracks when I heard small voices.
I turned the corner and peeked to find a two girls and a boy. One girl waa hiding behind the other who stood with head held high in front of a boy, who was a little taller than both of them. The boy was saying something which made the girl hiding shake but the girl in front pushed the boy back a little. Looking surprised I moved closer careful not to get caught.
"You big fat meanie, I am going to hit you like wonder woman." The girl in black shirt pushed the boy back a little. The boy seemed angry by her push stepped forward again and laughed.
"Look, the little wittle miss wonder woman will hit me. " He mocked the girl in black shirt and continued, "you can't do anything even if I pull your hair." The boy pulled her hair a little which made both girls let out a squeal. But the girl in black ahirt lifted her tiny leg and hit the boy's leg. My eyes wide and mouth open as I saw her holding the boy's ear and twist it as he let out a scream. That was my que to make my presence known.
"What is going on here?" I asked walking towards them and folding my arms on chest. The boy looked at the girls and ran to me. "That girl was hitting me." He pointed towards the one in black. The girl stomped forward and looked up at me and instantly I was captivated by her big brown eyes. "I hit him because he was bullying that girl. He was mean to me too." I raised a brow at the boy and he lookeed down guilty. "Okay, I'll take you to your teachers, and she'll know what to do. But,-" I held the boys shoulder, "it's bad to bully especially girls. Its shows you are a bad person. And I hope you are not bad. Yes?" The boy looked up and nodded I smiled, "good, now scoot. And I don't want to see you bullying any other student. Am I clearr?" He nodded again before rushing by followed by the other girl. While the girl in black kept looking at me. I knelt in front of her. Something about her was compelling me towards her.
"What's your name wonder woman?" She grinned, "I'm Laila." I smiled, a perfect name for a girl like her. "And how did you learn to fight like that." Her smile dropped, "I've seen mommy train." I frowned, what kind of mother would want that. I was about to say something but interrupted, "Mr. Nawaz, you're here. Come on the show is about to start." I sighed and got up. Turning around I followed the teacher but not before waving at the girl.
She's something.

Poke.

I groaned and opened one eye to come face to face with big chocolate brown eyes and toothy grin. Her contagious smile made me smile.
"Mommy mommy get up, it's my school." I sighed and looked over to the clock and got up. Getting up I took hold of my daughter's hand and led her to bathroom, showering her quickly I dressed her up in her favourite jeans and black top with wonder women above it. Laila had a strange admiration for justice league. She never liked princess. At first I was worried when she demanded that she doesn't want to be a princess rather she wanted to be wonder woman.
Normal, no scratch that, all the girls her age are obsessed with princess but she isn't. Getting her ready I sat her on couch switching on the tv for her, "Laila, Don't move until I come back, ok baby." She nodded and gave her attention back to the cartoons. I hurriedly took a shower and changed into my clothes before going out. Laila was still engrosed in tv, so I made my way into kitchen and made breakfast for her. Once the breakfast was done, I called Laila. She came running as I picked her up and put her on her chair. We ate silently before I dropped her to school. She always loved school no matter what.
I sighed and bit my lip as I saw her going in. The fear wouldn't leave no matter what. I drove to my office and greeted my PA, Sarah. Yes I have my own PA. I had startwd my own business three years ago dealing in interiors and home decor. It's been going successful, although it had it's up and down but still it's pretty profitable.
I settled in my office when after a few minutes, Sarah came in with coffee, "You have to deliver an order by noon today, to Mr. Zaheed." I nodded and called my manager to tell me where the packing reached. As soon as. I set my phone down it rang again. Rameez name shown on the screen making me smile.
"Hello, How's my bestie doing?" His unusually enthusiastic voice came. "Fine, what do you want?" I rolleed my eyes as I heard his gasp. Dramatic queen.
"What? Okay fine. You got me." I smirked as he huffed, "I need to accompany me somewhere." I frowned, "somewhere?" "Yes, somewhere. It's a formal occasion. Please please." I sighed and agreed.
"Fine, send the place and time. I'll be there." He yelled a yes and I chuckled at his antics. "Okay, I have to go. I'll talk to you later. K. Bye." I cut the call after he said bye and got up to look into my work.
