Four days... that's how long it had been since I last saw Ryan. He didn't come back after that night. My fears were true. He did leave me once he found out. Of course he wouldn't want me, I was tainted. I was like a zombie, he had taken my trust, my heart once again. That was one reason I didn't want to tell him about my past. I was staring mindlessly at the wall when I heard Laila come in. I turned to look at her and smiled sadly, "mommy, why are you crying? Where is daddy?" I wanted to sob but held myself for her. "Daddy has work, baby. Did you call him?" She nodded and pouted, "but he wouldn't pick up. I miss him mommy." Her eyes glistened as she pouted. I cradled her in my arms and shushed her.
