Prologue

I try to put my step above his footprints as he walk in front of me as I wrap my arms around myself because it's chilly even though I'm wearing his hoodie maybe because it's already midnight or maybe because I have a low tolerance of cold I grin on how big his feet are compared to mine. I stopped following him for a moment and looked up at the blankets of stars that stretch to infinity. How I wish I can show him how beautiful the night sky is and how the sea mirror that beauty, how I wish he can take a peek of the world that I see. I return my gaze in front of me and I can see him steps away. He stopped walking, but not to appreciate the night sky or the sea or the moment he was simply standing still waiting for me, I guess. I quickly walk towards his direction to not make him wait more and before I can reach him he started walking so I'm back following his footsteps again and this time I refuse to walk in silence. " Hebie why did you bring me here? " I received no answer. So Him. " Hebie ? " " Hebie ! " and before I can call him with my given nickname to him he glanced my way without stopping in his tracks so I frown and started walking faster so I can be in front of him . " Hebie, what are you thinking right now? " I asked without facing him . He didn't answer me again and I understand. He's not someone who says what he thinks or what he feel not because he want to keep it to himself but because he too have a hard time putting his thoughts and emotions to words and I think a lot of us are like that too because we don't get asked if we are okay or what are we thinking quite often specially if we are waiting to be asked. I looked back at him and as I spread my arms the wind blew my hair , I shouted... "Hebie, let's paint the world ! Let's paint the world red together Hebie " I wanted to see the world that you see Hebie just as how much I wanted to show you the world that I see. D I S C L A I M E R This is a work of fiction.
