A phone buzzed loudly just as Silver's hand slid down my spine, his lips trailing kisses along my shoulder. We were lounging on the cabin's massive deck, a little hungover from last night’s debauchry.
Two hunks. Mind blowing s*x. Non-stop partying till dawn. A weekend in an elaborate cabin, in Hawaii. And high class chefs at our beck and call.
The Hawaiian sun warmed my skin, while Jax mixed drinks at the outdoor bar.
This was paradise. Absolute paradise.
The phone kept buzzing, and we soon discovered it was Jax’s.
"Don't answer that," Silver murmured against my neck, his fingers already finding their way to my p***y.
But Jax was already reaching for his phone, his expression shifting from relaxed to tense in seconds, as he stared at the screen. "f**k!”
My eyes flashed open, and Silver paused.
He answered quickly “Are you being f*****g serious?” Jax snapped at the caller.
I sat up, pushing my sunglasses onto my head. "What's wrong?"
Jax held up a finger, listening intently to whoever was on the other end. His jaw tightened and ticked with each passing second. "When did they leave? ... s**t. Yeah. Yeah, I understand. Find a way to stall them. Of course, keep me posted."
He ended the call and dropped the bottle abruptly, running a hand through his hair. "We need to leave. Now."
"What?" Silver's voice was sharp. "We just got here yesterday. We have one more day before we leave…”
"Emilia knows I’m not here on business." Jax started gathering his things from around the pool area. "One of my bodyguards just called. She and her mother Gena are on their way to Hawaii right now. Apparently, they’re coming to catch me cheating. Stupid meddling ladies” he muttered under his breath.
I almost gagged and rolled my eyes. Was she the reason why he was fidgeting?
"Wow. How did she find out?" I asked in the most sarcastic tone I could muster.
"Does it f*****g matter?" Jax was moving fast now, shoving clothes and his stuff into his bag.
I weakly sighed. “Relax Jax, what’s she going to do about it? I mean, we’ve already f****d, and nothing’s going to change that.”
“You don’t know what you’re talking about, Delilah sweetie. If they get here and find us together, it's over.”
Silver yawned lazily and pulled away, unbothered as I was “How?”
Jax chuckled dryly and shook his head “You can’t seriously be asking me that. I’m f*****g my assistant and kissing my brother, do you know how much of a scandal this is? Do you know what this will do to me if any word of our affair gets out? I’ll lose everything, and Emilia will dump me without batting an eye. The divorce will destroy me financially, and Gena will make sure of it, she has that much influence.”
Silver stood up slowly, and I could see the anger building in his posture. "So we're just leaving? Just like that? Because your paranoid wife decided to play detective?"
"Yes!" Jax snapped. "We're leaving. Pack your shit."
"This is bullshit." Silver's voice was rising. "We planned this weekend for days. If I knew it was going to turn out like this, I’d have stayed home painting. I cleared my entire schedule, and put my clients on hold—"
"And I'm sorry about that, brother, but my marriage, my reputation and my money are on the line here!" Jax shot back.
“It’s not my fault you got married to a boring, clingy woman with mummy as her sidekick. You know what I think, Jax?”
“No, I don’t want to know what you’re thinking, Silver…”
“I think it’s selfish for you to ruin my weekend because of the insecure, airheaded bimbo you attached yourself to with flimsy vows!”
“Stop calling my wife names, she’s your sister in law too, Silver.”
“I don’t give a f**k, you know I’ve never liked Emilia, and I’m never going to stop telling you how much I don’t like your wife.”
“That’s enough.” Jax turned and walked into the cabin to finish gathering his things, and Silver hurried after him.
“No it not. I’m already on probation because some anonymous bastard joy-killer decided to report my yacht exhibition. Now you want to destroy this little fun time for me. For us!”
“That was no damn exhibition.” Jax said, avoiding his brother as he moved round the cabin.
But Silver stepped in front of Jax, chest to chest, fuming hard. “You know what I’m talking about Jax, and I know you would’ve loved to be part of it. You’re just jealous because your crazy wife won’t let you be free enough to attend, and enjoy one of my parties”
Jax said nothing. I could tell he was mad as hell too, but his anger wasn’t directed at us.
He was mad at Emilia, and I was glad he was. She deserved it.
Silver sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. “How am I going to have fun, and enjoy my youth when this keeps happening? I’ll get bored out of my mind in less than two days if I don’t f**k and party hard. f**k you Jax and f**k your…”
“Don’t say it.”
“f**k you know her name. But I’m not leaving this Island until I finish what I came here for.”
"You want to stay? Fine. Stay. But Delilah and I are getting on that jet in the next hour."
I stepped into the room, wrapping my flimsy bikini scarf around my waist. "Silver—"
"Don't." He held up a hand, his eyes flashing with fury. "Don't defend him, Delilah. This is his mess. His problem. It’s all because of his snooping, suspicious wife. And once again, we're the ones who have to deal with the consequences."
"I didn't ask for this!" Jax's face was red now. "You think I want to cut our trip short? You think I'm not pissed?"
"You should've been more careful!" Silver grabbed his own bag violently, shoving his sunglasses inside. As much as he didn’t want this trip to end, having a scandal from Emilia would do us no good.
At least not yet.
And he knew it.
“You called Delilah's name during s*x with your wife on your anniversary. What the f**k did you think was going to happen?"
Jax's expression turned dangerous. "Watch yourself, Silver."
"Or what?" Silver stepped closer, his height advantage making him tower over his older brother. "Are you going to hit me? Go ahead. At least that would make this disaster of a weekend worth something."
