The private jet touched down on the Kona runway just after noon, with the Hawaiian sun pouring through the plane’s windows. I stretched in my seat, the slit in my silk gown falling open just enough to make both Silver and Jax stare from their seats opposite me.
"God, I needed this," I purred, standing and letting my fur shawl slip further down my shoulder. "No work drama. No responsibilities. Just us."
Silver was already on his feet, wrapping an arm around my waist and pulling me close. "Three days of absolute paradise, baby. I've got my beach cabin ready, champagne on ice, and nothing but enough time." He drawled and nuzzled my neck with kisses while I giggled.
Jax's phone buzzed for the hundredth time since we landed. He took off his glasses, and rubbed his temples when he brought out his phone.
Emilia's name flashed across the screen again. He ignored it, and shoved the phone back in his pocket.
"You gonna answer that?" Silver asked with a smirk, though his hand was already sliding down my hip towards my inner thigh.
"Nope, mind your business” Jax said, reaching for my other hand and pulling me toward him. "I'm on vacation."
I laughed, pressing myself between them as we walked off the jet, letting the jet’s attendant carry our bags. "Both of you need to relax. We're here to have fun, remember? And you boys can have me all through the weekend.”
The phone buzzed again. And again. And again.
“Answer your phone brother, it’s becoming a bother” Silver spat with annoyance at the vibration.
"Jesus Christ," Jax muttered, pulling his phone. “Seventeen missed calls and nine text messages! Did I commit a crime by getting married?!” Jax snapped and I walked away from Silver’s hold to come calm him down.
I took his phone, glanced at the screen and raised an eyebrow. "She's persistent.” I said as I read the texts.
EMILIA: Where are you? Call me back.
EMILIA: Jax, I'm serious. We need to talk.
EMILIA: Are you really scouting models or is this about HER?
"She's paranoid for no god damn reason, I go home to her every night, that should be enough" Jax said, but there was tension in his jaw.
"Then turn it off," I said simply, trailing a finger down his chest. "You came here to forget about all ‘that’, didn't you?"
Jax hesitated. Silver was already heading toward the waiting car, but he turned back with a challenging grin. "What's it gonna be, big brother? You can take the jet and go home running to your wife or you can choose freedom.” He offered with a lazy shrug.
The phone buzzed again and Jax groaned “Dammit!”
I leaned in close, my lips brushing Jax's ear. "Turn it off, baby. Just for the weekend. Give yourself permission to be happy, with me. And him."
Jax stared at the phone for a long moment. Then he powered it down and stuck it back into his pocket.
"There," he said, pulling me against him and kissing me hard. "Now it's just us."
“Better” I smiled and pulled him towards our waiting car.
His brother laughed from the car. "Took you long enough! Now get in here before I start f*****g her without you."
Silver’s beach cabin was obscene. It had floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the ocean, an infinity pool that seemed to blend into the horizon, and white furniture that screamed wealth.
I dropped my handbag and immediately walked out onto the deck, letting the ocean breeze lift my hair.
"Ohhh! This is incredible," I breathed.
Silver came up behind me, sliding his hands around my waist. "Only the best for you, gorgeous. I flew in a private chef, stocked the bar, and cleared my schedule for the next seventy-two hours. I want you to know how much I care about you, sweetie.”
"That’s horseshit. He's just a horny show-off," Jax called from inside, but he was grinning as he poured us three glasses of champagne.
We spent the afternoon on the beach, the three of us tangled together on oversized lounge chairs after some margaritas. Silver rubbed sunscreen into my back and shoulders while Jax traced patterns on my thighs.
It felt like both of them were competing for my attention like I was a prize to be won.
"You're going to burn from the sun, baby" Silver murmured, his hands working lower down my back.
"I'll take care of her from here.” Jax said, pulling me toward him on his lounge chair which he’d attached to mine earlier on. "You always hog her."
"Because you don't appreciate her enough," Silver shot back.
I laughed, stretching between them like a naked cat. "Boys, boys. There's enough of me to go around, save the fighting for later."
"He just finds a way to piss me off," Jax muttered, but he was smiling as he kissed my shoulder and cupped my breast to suck an exposed n****e.
We swam in the ocean, played in the waves, drank cocktails until the sun started to set and by the time we stumbled back to the house, all three of us were drunk and really handsy. Our clothes were discarded in a trail from the beach to the bedroom, and as soon as the door closed, we spiraled into hours of intense f*****g.
At dinner, Silver presented me with a small velvet box.
"What's this?" I asked, my eyes lighting up.
"Open it," Silver said, leaning back in his chair with a satisfied smile.
Inside was a key. Not just any key, an ornate golden key with a small tag attached.
I read the tag aloud. "16 Rue de Varenne, Paris." I looked up, confused. "What is this, Silver?"
"Your new house," Silver said casually, sipping his wine. "In the 7th arrondissement. Fully furnished, with a healthy amount of staff included. I thought you deserved a nice home, you know, better than your last."
Jax's fork clattered against his plate. "You bought her a new house?"
"Of course, in one of the richest suburbs in the city," Silver said smugly. "Delilah mentioned how small her old place was. Now she has a bigger place to stay."
My hands were shaking as I held the key. "Oh Silver, this is... this is too much."
"Nothing's too much for you, baby."
Jax stood abruptly, pulling out his phone. Well, he tried to, then remembered he'd turned it off. He pulled out his tablet instead, fingers flying across the screen.
"What are you doing?" I asked.
"Leveling the playing field," Jax muttered.
Sixty seconds later, my phone chimed. Then chimed again. And again.
I picked it up, my eyes widening. "Jax... what did you do?"
"Check your bank account," he said, sitting back down with a triumphant grin.
I opened my banking app, and my jaw dropped.
"Is that... is that five million dollars?"
"Consider it a gift," Jax said smoothly. "For putting up with my brother's showing off."
Silver's expression darkened. "Real mature, Jax. Buying affection with cash?"
"Says the man who literally just gave her real estate," Jax fired back.
"A house is an investment. A home. You just threw money at her like she's some kind of…”
"Don't finish that sentence," Jax warned, standing again.
“Or what?”
