CHAPTER SEVEN: A CONVERSATION

It’s almost midnight in Andrew’s room, there was an awkward air between the both of them( Anna and Andrew). Andrew sat on the bed while Anna was removing her hills and jewelries, after that she went and sat on the bed with Andrew. Anna felt uncomfortable with the awkwardness between them so she tried to strike a conversation first. “ So your family is nice, especially your mom, she's really nice,Anna said “. “easy for you to say, you barely know her, you’re not her son, Andrew replied “. “ what does that mean, Anna asked “. “ it means she’s the reason we’re in this situation in the first place, you know what just forget it , Andrew replied “. “ ugh no am not going to, we’re in this mess together remember, everything about this concerns me too, am going to be stuck with you and your family for like six months or even more so I’ve at least got to know why am in this mess in the first place, please, Anna said “ “ fyn, my mom just disagrees with every single thing I do , the friends I keep the places I go even down to what I wear , she just wants to control my life, she says I am like my dad , that my dad once lost his way but when he found her when he found true love he changed, but I don’t believe in that bulshit but she just keeps forcing it on me, you see that night my mom had alerted everyone about me being single, and I was just so sick of girls following me around and, look am honestly sorry for that but that was the only thing I could think of at the moment, Andrew replied “. While Andrew was saying all this Anna felt a spark, she was blushing it was the first ever meaningful conversation she had with Andrew and she just felt a connection, she found Andrew really attractive at that moment. She finally snapped out of whatever she was lost in and came back to reality, “ am feeling really sleepy so am gonna head to bed first, Anna “. “ really, just like that, , , , I thought you wanted to take a shower, Andrew asked “. “ Yh, I probably should, Anna awkwardly replied “. She walked up to his wardrobe and took one of his pjs and went to shower. She came out with a wet hair and big clothes, when Andrew saw this he smirked, he thought she looked really cute “ what’s so funny, your clothes might be big but they are really comfy, Anna “. “ hmm Yh they are, am gonna go take a shower, Andrew “. Anna dried her hair and went to bed, by the time Andrew came out of the bathroom she was already asleep, she demarcated the bed with a bunch of pillows before she slept. Andrew smiled without even noticing, he dried his hair and took his position on the other side of the bed.

The next morning Anna woke up really early as she was used to it, she went outside the room completely forgetting that it wasn’t her house, it finally occurred to her when she went out and saw the beauty of the mansion and workers cleaning the house. She walked further admiring the beauty of the house when Elle spotted her and called her into her room. She was really nervous as it was only their second time meeting and she already became her son’s girlfriend. “ here sit, Andrew said you were a shy type, but you don’t really seem so, Elle said “. “ really he said that, Anna replied “ “ it occurred to me that we had met before at my party, you’re Lyla’s friend aren’t you, Elle asked “. “ yes I am, Anna replied “. “ am sorry about that day anyway, if I had known that you were Andrew’s girlfriend I wouldn’t have told people that he was single, you must’ve been really affected right, Elle continued “. “ well yes I was, but am sure you had your reasons for doing that, Anna replied “. “ well yes I did, you see ever since Andrew got his heart broken five years ago he stopped believing in love, he started keeping bad friends, he became arrogant and distant, we couldn’t have a good conversation without fighting each other, i I had seen that behavior before, I was exactly like his father when we just met, but he was willing to change and become better just to make us work, and we did work, so i know better than anyone that all he needs is a girl who is right for him, who loves him and who he is willing to change for, and I trust and I hope that you will be that person, I might not know you well but my heart says to trust you and am going to do just that, Elle said “. “ well yes ma’am, if you’ll excuse me I’ll go freshen up now, Anna answered “. Anna left that room with a guilty heart, she could feel that Elle really wants the best for her son but she couldn’t be that , she can’t make her son change for her, she was only a contract girlfriend. Anna went back to Andrew’s room to freshen up, when she came out of the bathroom she was surprised to see that Andrew was no longer there, there was only a pair of long jeans and and a white shirt on the bed, it turns out that Andrew already had Jane deliver it last night. She put the clothes on and they were perfectly fit. She went downstairs and saw that the family had already gathered for breakfast. So she joined them and after breakfast Andrew drove her to school.
