I was nervous and scared of what the outcome of the fight was likely to be. I had tried my best to fight the fear but it doubled the moment I stepped into the ring to see who my opponent was.
A friendly spar my foot! If the king wanted me dead or maimed, he should have just done it himself. From the look of my opponent for the supposed friendly spar, I could see that he was an experienced soldier.
There were scars on his body to signify how many times he must have gone into fights and come back alive. I glanced towards where Delvin was sitting beside the king and saw him standing with anger evident on his face.
