The group of people in the camp, were all shedding tears while being gathered around near Julin as he was calming the man from his roar of pain.
Meanwhile, Allison stood away alone watching the roar of the man, crying on Julin echoing from the distance. It saddened him viewing that how much in such a dark hour, under the red sky, people still slaughtered each other’s necks for the same color of the roof above our heads.
As he turned his gazed at the graveyard, where grave tombs stood side by side on the rough soil, recently dug from the plain floor he heard,
“Humans are really an amazing being created” this” this shocked him. He knew this voice he had heard it before not long ago. Just beside him not away it was heard from his back.
It spoke again “which is why my interest always rises in acknowledging more about them”.
He twisted back, growing shocked out of his skin to see a young man dressed in suit and hat, a man that he knew well.
“Zexcal!” called by his name.
“Hello boy” weaved the man in a smile standing in a distance from him.
A long absence of this man suddenly, out of nowhere he appeared in front of Allison while he was out in the lost land.
“It’s been a while sir, Zexcal” greeted the youth bowing.
“Nah! I am no sir” fussed the man expressing about himself that he was not any high standard man just a normal man looking for his path to be cleared out of walls, “So don’t trouble yourself calling me sir, my name is the best way to be known”.
On this Allison smiled helplessly saying “that’s not easy for me. An elder should always have his right”.
Zexcal smiled at him commenting “then it’s your respect for others can’t say anything. By the way, why are you here?”
“The reason is right in front of you. Humans started murdering each other out of nowhere. This wasn’t expected for such cases to uprise so early before the normal timing taking action”.
Zexcal shrugged replying “what can you say about human beings, always out of hand”.
“We are also one of them, we are all linked by one’s action. After all, we are one species”.
“Hahahaha!!” all of a sudden Zexcal began to laugh after hearing out the boy’s words. This puzzled Allison as the man caught up his act and coughed a little saying “My apologizes for such manners. Inside tragic condition, a slight smile is also an insult for a guest and I laughed, How shameful of me”.
The boy just stared at him when surprisingly this man stared straight at Allison’s orange eyes advising “let me give you a small piece of advice boy when you need to achieve something high, step away kind words for a second to view the true reality of the world………. Look around and see how beautiful our nature is from the inside and the outside the mirror”.
“What are you actually reflecting at Zexcal?” asked Allison direct questioning his doubt without pushing his head in confusion.
“Your words are too decent for this world boy” smiled the man looking away at the graveyard “you will be taken as trash to be stamped under feet rather than given respect” he turned away backing him “try to change your expression with this cause your act will make you an easy target to be tortured. Well then, see ya….in a different stage”. He began to walk away adding that at recent moments this is no time for greetings or good wishes.
At that moment, Allison remembered a statement and quickly brought it out “hey wait, Mister Zexcal there is something I wish to ask!” this paused the man’s paces as the boy continued, “about your quest….. a person you were looking for… did you get a glimpse of him? His location…. Or at least his scent of where he is at the moment?”
By hearing this, Zexcal’s eyes went hidden under his hair. He remained silent, idol on his place without even a breath exhaling.
By this, Allison realized his state that he was having great trouble in detecting the location of his keeper, he had no idea and the results with him were all zero. Allison nodded offering “hope you don’t mind, the reason why I asked this was I thought of helping you out”.
“Helping me?” contested the man seriously “how come?”
Allison answered explaining that if you could give an identity of the person you are looking for perhaps he might get a glimpse of him and tell him about you.
“Did you receive the job you traveled for?” asked Zexcal without turning but, looking straight at the wide earth empty from life.
From behind he got replied that yes, I haven’t got permitted in it but, my job relates to your quest “so if you don’t feel bad or disturbed I would like to help you with it”.
If it was a cunny or an arrogant person, he would directly insult the boy behind him pointing that he was showing off and praising himself and he was best enough to do it himself.
However, the atmosphere wasn’t against the youth. It supported him with his offer and the same did the visitor named Zexcal.
He smiled lifting his hat saying “well, I am surprised that such an offer came from a youth like you” he answered in a cheering voice. Then he asked, “do you think you can do it? It might be difficult”.
“It might come as a glimpse to me while I am outside in the world” replied Allison in full confidence “so there isn’t any problem for me if I carried your quest upon my shoulders”.
“How brave” praised Zexcal “but, then how will you inform his location to me?” he asked looking back at Allison who simply replied,
“Same as this way…” he meant by chance if they meet each other somewhere else then definitely, he would inform him the detail. “until that time I will wait” shrugged the boy helplessly.
Zexcal chuckled at this admitting that after all this young boy was right. He thought for a while then introduced the one he was looking for “that man is keen, intelligent, and smarter than you think” he turned to him swiping his index finger on his left eye identifying that there is a scare on his eye running down his thin face.
“Oh, okay” nodded the boy relieved that this would make an easy mark to notice and to find a specific person.
“And…” he turned away saying “and one more thing if you see him tell this man that Zero diameter brothers are waiting for you…”.
“Zero diameter…….. brothers?” repeated Allison wondering what was that, a thing or a human.
“Just tell him that for me….” he said and walked away when Allison called out,
“What about his name? Any idea?”
The man stopped and smiled, getting a name would be an easier way to get to know the person. The man spoke out the name and went away without giving any more details of the missing person.
That name, just by the name gave a scent to Allison as a cold breeze blew through his dark green hair expressing how mysterious this man would be that Zexcal is searching for him for so long. He felt him worth searching and determined of carrying out the quest. Surely, there was something in him that he’s gone hiding.
By that name, it gave Allison the thrill of knowing who is he and what is he? He had to look for this man named……………
Syren……….
