Knock………knock
“Come in” said Raimon’s voice from behind the office door. Taking a deep breath and released it, Allison opened the door and entered the office of the Captain. He was filled in confusion, anxiety by thinking why did the Leader summon him personally.
Arriving in front of the office desk, Allison saluted with his palm straight over his brow, the man nodded but, didn’t say anything instead spoke out, “You shouldn’t waste the time of knights like this. They have missions to clear on time!”
“HUH!” puzzled Allison wandering what was he talking about when he soon realized the Captain was in a call.
A small wireless pod with a glow of green was connecting to his right ear, a mini speaker was attached towards his lips plus, a tablet was operating beside him on the table with ongoing call.
To come to think of it, the person with whom he was arguing, judging by the speech, it seems Wengen was on the line. “Wengen, I don’t wish to hear any excuses!” scolded the Captain while looking at a file on his hand.
“But, sir” said Wengen from the call, “It was just an encouragement to them with their victory. They felt terrible by viewing the loss of the field. I wanted to proof them that it wasn’t a failure but a mark of success.”
“ENOUGH!” interrupted the Captain in anger, “The knights doesn’t involves in such childish trips. They are NOT school children or college to run free times on a worthless tour such as these! The world ahead of us is destroying! We aren’t sure what future lies ahead of us. It’s all dark! We are not capable of taking all issues in our hands, yet. How much we are able to provide support least that can help. It’s just nonsense feeling you are making up. Knights don’t need such emotions as long as they need to fight to carry on for others life. In this burning world, we are a small hope that needs to grow. A hope that will only expand by fighting and struggling not like tour the way you take, do you get it?!”
“Yes, sir” answered Wengen sadly.
“Now stop wasting my time. Get back to work. I am quite busy now!” he offed the call; taking out the ear pod Raimon dropped it on the table with a deep sigh.
“Sir,” spoke up Allison trying to make sentences in hope of asking his intensions but, he remained silent, recalling his Captain’s temper, it would be safe if he doesn’t say a word.
“It’s alright. It’s nothing to worry about” replied Raimon with his head resting on his palm.”
“I see. Glad to know, sir” said Allison.
Looking up at this young boy, the Captain sat up straight with his hands on the arm of the chair and began, “Mister Allison Crode, is it your name?”
“Yes, sir” replied the boy.
“Specifically, I got reports on you and your brave actions by Mister Haku. It was an outstanding performance, good work.”
“Thank you, sir” bowed Allison lightly and rise.
“Also about your weapon ranking, it was quite fascinating to know that you have jumped from the beginner level, straight to the grey ranking weapon, work hard to raise towards blood weapon cause no one has ever topper this rank and I am sure you WILL be able to do it cause within the first try you’re strong. Keep up the good work.”
“Thank you so much, sir” nodded Allison.
The Captain was looking somewhat satisfied with the sped raising of the newcomer. He showed great results due to which Raimon encouraged him with little hard working advices, adding phrases like don’t give up it’s still the beginning.
Life is tough but, as long as you have hoped the will to carry on and strength in hopes to move out of it, nothing can dive you on your nose.
“Thank you, sir. I will try my best.” replied Allison feeling pride that he managed to get his leader proud of him. On the other hand, Raimon said,
“However, there are some parts in your mission which you act on your own. For example, just like you fired your gunshot into Sero’s fighting range which shouldn’t happen. If one is battling his opponent easily the other shouldn’t interfere unless it’s about the end of line. Do you get why I say this?”
“Pardon me sir, I would like to hear the details, sir” requested Allison humbly.
“You’re a very respectful boy, Allison.” praised the Captain with a grin, “I feel proud for your behavior.” Giving a shot detail, Raimon explained Allison that if a fighter fights in a battle in full concentration, it is the time of his life to test himself what is he capable of and what CAN he perform. He fights with all his sweat getting his fist soaked as the grip of his weapon grows firm, he fights till his blood getting dried with all his strength draining away, all this just to clarify how much strong he would feel himself to stand until the next battle but, if one interrupts it breaks his concentration, losing his self-confidence which results him in need among the weaklings. He feels that he is a needier rather than a supporter. “Which is why I advices you to watch your every steps before entering a battle field, do you understand? Even thou, you’re strong and capable of winning still you must hold your horses, letting others take out what they wish to test for themselves, got it?”
“Sir, yes sir. I understand.” nodded Allison.
“And jump into the fighting zone first, you’re still a test member, not a knight, yet”
“I understand, sir” bowed lower the boy.
Calling him a test subject was kind of a pain in the neck unfortunately, Allison had to accept this path till he is truly given the approval of a knight. He raised nodding as a sign that he understood all, “I will do my best next time for sure.” He paid an oath to the Captain.
A smile grew on Raimon’s lips. This kind of grin shocked Allison by the look of his leader’s face. It wasn’t a smile of pride or praises for a member but, greed of knowing something, a will of finding an answer eagerly of a question instead of waiting for a trustable picture from him.
There was something odd about his weird smile.
