“Ahem….what do you mean, Sero?” asked Dan in puzzlement.
“Don’t ask reasons Dan. Everything is crystal clear in front of you!” protected Sero about the behavior their Captain Raimon was doing, “Tell me something when we were battling with the Vampire inside that dome, why didn’t any of you get the report of another gate opening? We were in the same field where our live actions were recorded from back here in the base, fighting someone odd with our lives in the line, above all what were you all doing at that time?”
He had a point to it. When the knights were attending their mission of saving the field and then the opening of the gate came up, why didn’t the knights come to know of it? Why did the four boys Zack, Neogama, Romeo and Shinn appear absent minded to this incident when all were available at the Main hall during dispatch of the mission.
“Well, you have a point to argue on it buddy” stretched Zack his head realizing the error.
“Where were you all?” asked Sero gravely to the four boys. All four stared at each other smiling helplessly not knowing what to say. There was a short pause in the garage.
“I will tell you” stood up Neogama while taking out a handkerchief and wiped his hands, “we were asked to discharge ourselves from the hall immediately right when Rade started an argument with Captain.” This surprised the other side.
Back there, when Rade blasted into the hall, crossing through all the knights and approaching beside the Captain, he quarreled with him, convincing the Captain that the event of the gate and Allison, both are not connected but a coincidence. It’s not any matter to take seriously.
On the other hand, the Knights behind heard this, filling in bewilderment, wandering what was worrying Rade so much. Why was he as loud in his speech with the Captain as he wasn’t known for it? He was a friendly man who spoke in a normal tone with all the staffs and the Knights of Lazard.
But, then here, he was arguing over his speech power. He was abnormally loud and on top of it, worried?
Right when the knights were about to take action on this, the Captain turned to them, ordering everyone to leave. They asked a permission to stay in hope of learning what was going on but the Captain interrupted over all the requests, giving a direct order to leave in an instead, returning to your normal routeins, not to mention, he also added that Knight’s priorities are only mission not rubbish talks as these.
“So you see.” concluded Neogama “This happened. We didn’t know anything about the next page your task took with it. We were out of knowledge.”
“That’s the point here!” added Sero as it could be seen he was boiling in rage, “THAT MAN! Since he got elected to carry out the Lazard doesn’t fixes any nail well. He screws everything up, ignores all necessary events and on top of it, he acts an s thou, he wants to destroy this Lazard!”
“AH!” all got surprise to hear this from him.
HE?
A long term knight was speaking ill about his leader. Normally, men of his type are well-mannered, excellent behaviors, doesn’t takes any interest on their supreme lead. However, here! It was a complete out of book cover. He was complaining in anger not carrying about what the new comer may think of him. Instead of stopping his comments about the Captain, he ended his words by an insult, “Instead of him, the other candidate was better. He was a worthy man of us all.”
“HUH?” TURNED Allison to him asking, “Was there another guy to be replaced? Where is he? Is he still living among us?”
“Forget about what I just said” replied back Sero turning away his sight. He was out of temper at the moment due to which he shuttled his lips, avoiding any harsh words to be spoken out, hurting his friends with it especially the newcomer who just arrived as a test member. Even though, it was for the new fellow, the others around were common attending members.
“You do have a meaning to your argument, Sero. We do feel the same.” said Neogama leaning on his bike still wiping his fingers, “unfortunately, we all work under his orders. We are his men and we need to agree all sorts of commands he demands on is blindly, without any protest over him.”
“Yeah, that’s correct.” added Zack “Remember, we are inside the time that’s turning into darkness day by day. No support or light to dig with. Even the sky is still bleeding that needs time to recover plus we have no connections with the other part of the world so things are too complicated if we handle it by ourselves.”
‘So, whatever type of man he is” concluded Shinn, “we have to follow him at all cost. We need a person to guide us in the times of needing.”
They all were helpless. They knew outside world was now a battle of survival, anytime traps, tortures and deaths would appear. Though, they were the only lights with hope in the devastated world still they required a leader to support their backs no matter the treatments he did with them. Alone they would be goners.
Still, the knight Sero wasn’t brightening with the idea of his friends. “We need to walk with a muddle head and turn ourselves into walking graves” replied Sero in a fuss.
This surprised Allison whereas all others laughed at these statements.
“Come on. Don’t take things that seriously, Sero” said Romeo “It’s going to be alright”
“HUMPH!” turned away Sero in annoying.
“Ammm…..Pardon me?” spoke up Allison, all gawking at him, “Why’re you all chatting this way? I mean don’t get me wrong but, it looks strange how you all are open type with each other as though, you all live inside one house, would this be added to reports or while giving away details of missions? It may require speaking like this, right? He was kind of puzzled by their behavior with each other. It was more than a friendly manner and top of it, no one fought or argues further if any issue would pick up among each other. Instead, they would twist it away making it a silly matter. He knew that not even in troops or armies these kinds of chats weren’t even possible to create.
All the boys smiled at this. They understood what he meant and why he was all confused, “Well you do need to open yourself with someone, right?” said Shinn.
“That’s right. We all have heavy burdens and complain which we can’t add in reports or inside our speech while recording statements. So, we chat among with one another like this without having a specific person on our list.” added Romeo his words after his friend’s sentences, “All are in the same line.”
“Bad comments, worse reviews or arguments, it’s common in all of us.” Said Zack
“But to say your pains and burdens out in public, not everyone can do that, you need companies.” said Kamran who was standing by Allison.
“Which is why” said Dan, “we sit among each other and take out extra review about our missions plus, express our comments with the world of today, revising the past 6time and enjoying the talks as it makes us feel easy. We share it among each other.”
“And on top of it” said Neogama “we all share the same fate. One day, we will all die. Maybe get squeeze inside a trap or during a dreadful mission perhaps by an unknown disease whatever will happen we won’t live for long. It’s fated in us so for that we try that every day, inside this base, it should be a memorial moments of our life. When we will die, it won’t be in burden or regards bit with a smile of relief on our faces.” A grin of encourage spoke on every face of the seven boys.
“This is too harsh...” said Allison with a helpless smile admitting the danger of the track he will be taking.
Just as he spoke these words, Haku and Tayoma got back into the garage. “DONE!” announce Haku punching the air.
“Done with?” questioned Zack.
“With the report of the mission. It was tough, explaining everything of the task, PHEW!” sighed Haku, “it’s so difficult to explain Captain everything. He doesn’t accepts facts so easily…AH!” stamping aside Haku passed by the wall side and sat down sighing deeply, “It’s so exhausting”
“Well, at least he’s trying to get the truth. You know very well the reports we make has to be sent to the organization higher-up so it should be form correctly.” Said Tayoma taking a glass of water from the side cooler and presented it to Haku. While Haku was drinking, Tayoma turned to the others saying,
“It wasn’t simple to convince him this time as we spoke the truth. On the other hand, Allison…”
“Yes,” surprised the boy upon hearing his name.
“The Captain asked for your attendance into his office. He wants to have a conversation with you.”
“Me?” shocked Allison by this as Tayoma nodded while the others felt puzzled by hearing this, wandering what could be the reason that in just the early days the Captain asked him to visit.
