Chapter 29 – The Sewers
Jerry wished he'd brought a gas mask, or a spacesuit, or anything that would filter out the smell. He had everything else he needed: sword, rifle, shield vest, backpack, uniform, boots, fresh socks and underwear. Hopefully, it would all be enough.
The others had dressed and packed, too. Shariel wore a tunic over a water-wicking athletic suit, the kind designed for professional athletes and just the thing for crawling around in the sewer. She carried her sword, but no gun. Kajora wore her tan Auxilian work uniform and carried her medical bag. Calael was a specter in his Harowaith get-up. And Irylia wore a curve-hugging wetsuit, unzipped enough to show a generous amount of cleavage. Jerry had never seen a sexier diver.
