It's been a week since I've literally washed a shore in the pack and everyone seems like they're walking on glass. Everyone has become very careful, Phoenix especially.
"Phoenix?" I knock on the double doors of his office and not even a second later, the door opens with a concerned looking Phoenix on the other side.
"Natalia? You're awake? I didn't mean to leave you, I just wanted to call Jayden. I didn't want to wake you up." I frown as I try once again to recall any memories I have of Jayden. I was told he's my best friend, yes I do have a memory of him but there was no feeling to it. In my mind it was like a movie of people I do not know.
"Is he back in the country?" Phoenix nods and pulls me into a hug. He's been doing this lately, just holding me close and breathing me in.
