Chapter 7 The ship's kitchens were hotter than Gavi could have imagined. He drank as much water as was allowed, but he couldn't eat in this kind of heat, and he could tell he was losing weight. The magicians on board removed salt from the seawater for drinking, but water was still rationed because it took time to work the magic.
