Chapter 12 Later that day, Gavi searched the ship for Herrith. The decks were busy with preparation as the king got ready to meet with the captains of six other vessels. Crews of slaves cleaned the poop deck and put out tables for feasts they would never taste, sailors tied down sails, and set anchor. Gavi kept his head down as he slipped between the many busy people. He found Herrith just outside the king's chambers.
