“Kuya Yvo..they are drunk, medyo makulit lang sila, pero hindi naman nila kami hinarass.” I swallowed hard. All my cousins’ eyes are on me, and so is Silas eyes, his eyes are dark, halata ang galit sa mga mata nito. “Azalea is already drunk..she’s over reacting..right ate Saf?” Hingi ng saklolo ko dito. Azalea snorted but did not say anything, thank goodness.

Ate Saf knows na pag nag nag kamali sya ng sagot ay mag kakagulo. May kakalagyan ang mga lalaking ito, because our cousins are all over protective and hindi sila papayag na mabastos kami lalo pa ang maharass!

I held my breath as we waited for Ate Saf’s response. Her eyes are already sleepy, she also look pissed.. maybe because our supposed fun night ended because of these jerks.

“Let’s just go to the next club, guys here sucks.” She said before she flipped her hair then she grabbed her things and stood up.

Nakahinga ako ng maluwag.

“I think the night is over for me and Cassiopeia, we will head home first.” Silas said coldly, halatang wala na ito sa mood. His hand from my waist transferred to my hand. His warm hand covered mine giving me comfort.

“No, let’s all go home..we need to rest, it’s already four in the morning.” Kuya Yvo said while still looking at the guys. “I hope our paths won’t cross again or I’ll make sure you’ll regret coming here to Palawan.” He said coldly before he turned his back on them.

“Tabi!” Kuya Rue said before he bumped the shoulder of the guy who tried to hit on Ate Saf.

“Don’t ever show your face at Puerto Princesa, or else, you guys won’t be able to go back home.” Yckos said in a very intimidating voice.

Dali daling nag alisan ang mga lalaki, halata sa mga mukha ang takot. Gusto kong matawa, nasaan na ang yabang nila?

“Let’s go.” Silas whispered before he pulled me with him.

Kuya Thyme and Reed helped Azalea to walk without falling while Kuya Rue, held Ate Saf’s shoulder. Tahimik kaming nag punta sa parking at sumakay sa mga sasakyan. Ramdam ko ang tensyon ng palagid. Ramdam ko ang galit ni Silas. Nang makarating kami sa vacation house namin ay mabilis na bumaba ang mga pinsan ko na nakisabay samin sa sasakyan ni Silas, habang kami naman ni Silas ay naiwan sa loob ng sasakyan.

I silently observe Silas’ heavy breathing. This is the first time I saw him like this..

“Silas..” I whispered his name. Dahan dahan itong lumingon saakin, his eyes softens as he looks at me, his clenched jaw relaxed.

Medyo napanatag ako.

“Are you okay?” I know that he is not okay but I feel like I needed to ask.

“I’m sorry..” he whispered and closes his eyes as if he was in pain. “I shouldn’t have left you..I should have stayed with you and your cousin-“

“Silas..”putol ko sa sasabihin nya. Inabot ko ang mukha nya at hinaplos ito, his eyes opened. He looks surprised with what I did. “We are okay, no harm done..so please don’t think about it anymore.” I pleaded.

Humugot ito ng malalim na pag hinga. Matapos ay hinawakan nya ang kamay ko na nasa mukha nya.

“I feel like I failed to protect you-“

“Silas..No..please don’t say that.” Iling ko. I know how he feels..he looks disappointed on himself. “Nothing happened, okay?”

“I wanted to punch his face, their faces..and I wanted to make his eyes bleed for looking at you with so much malice in his eyes..” Suminghap uli sya at pumikit. “If you’re not there, I would have done it..but you were there and I don’t want you to be afraid of me..I don’t want you to think badly of me or to be disappointed.” He said gently then he opened his eyes.

My heart suddenly felt warm. I love the idea that he is considering my feelings and my thoughts about him.

I gave him an assuring smile.

“I’m not afraid of you nor disappointed.” I whispered and he answered it with a kiss.

Napasinghap ako sa gulat.

“Thank you love.” He said and I just nodded.

“Let’s go inside..I’m already sleepy.” Sabi ko bago binawi ang kamay ko. Inalis ko ang seatbelt at handa na buksan ang pinto ng hatakin nya ang braso ko pabalik.

“Wait, I have something important to tell you.”

Napakurap ako. Inaantok na talaga ako pero medyo nagising ang diwa ko dahil sa mukhang seryoso talaga ang sa sabihin nya.

“Okay?”

“Love..”

“Hmnn?”

“I’ll be leaving next week.” He muttered.

Tuluyan ng nagising ang diwa ko.

“Uhmmn..okay? San ka pupunta?”

He licked his lips and combed his hair with his fingers. He acts like this most of the time whenever he is frustrated.

“Greece.” Maikli nyang sabi, his eyes are focused on me, waiting for my reaction.

“Oh?” Napaayos ako ng upo. “How many days?”

Pumikit sya at bumuntong hininga na para bang nahihirapan. Sa hitsura nya, mukhang hindi sya masaya sa pag alis nya at tila ba nahihirapan.

“Maybe..two weeks or three weeks. I don’t know yet.” He bit his lips and looked away.

My lips parted. Bakit ang tagal naman? Ano naman gagawin nya doon? I am not being clingy.. I just wanted to know..

Lumingon sya saakin at tila ba nabasa nya ang iniisip ko.

“My father is sick, I need to oversee our business until he recovers.” Nahihirapan nyang sabi.

I pursed my lips. I actually don’t know what to say.

“Will you be okay? We will be in a long distance relationship for weeks or maybe a month..” he said before he took my hand and kissed the back of my palm.

I wanted to protest two weeks to a month is too long, but I should be considerate. I should understand his situation.

“Well…your father is sick, you must be there for him. I think several weeks of not seeing each other is fine especially with our technologies now. We can chat naman or call, even vid call!” Pinasigla ko ang boses ko kahit na sa totoo lang ay medyo nalulungkot na ako habang iniisip na mawawala sya ng ganun katagal. “How about school?”

“I’ll have a special set up arranged by my mother, the dean allowed me to take an online class.”

Napatango ako. Siguro ay binayaran nila ng malaki ang eskwelahan para mapapayag ito. I heard from Yckos that Silas’ family came from old money, they are filthy rich, which makes me wonder what he is doing here in PH and why he is studying here in Palawan instead in an International school in Manila.

“I’ll miss you..” he whispered that made me smile. “I hope that you’ll miss me too.” He said in a sweet voice.

Natawa ako.

“I’ll miss you too.” I just found myself saying those words to him. Being in relationship with Silas for weeks made me fond of him. I am starting to like him for who he is and for how he cares for me..and I won’t be surprised if one day this feelings will eventually develops. “I’ll surely miss you.” I added I saw how his eyes glimmered with happiness.

So for now, I’ll enjoy my time with him. We will create memories together so when time comes and we suddenly miss each other, we have memories to think about.
