Ika Tatlompu’t Isa- Surprise

“Are we going to use the Van?” I asked Yckos after he helped me carry my things.

“Nope.”

Napakunot noo ko. Usually ang van ang gamit namin para kasya kaming lahat at komportable.

“Huh? Why? Mag dadalawang kotse tayo?”

Ngisi lang ang isinagot nito sakin. Nang makalabas kami ng villa, hinanap ng paningin ko ang sasakyan ng pinsan ko.

“Nasaan ang mga sasakyan?” Nag tataka kong tanong sabay tingin sa paligid.

“Malapit na.” Sabi nito habang nag tetext.

Napasimangot ako at halukipkip. I am already wearing my party dress na pinatungan ko muna ng sweater. It is only seven in the evening so we will arrive there maybe around eleven pm or before twelve sa bilis ng pag papatakbo ng mga pinsan ko, sakto sa oras na kasagsagan ng party, doon na diretso namin. “Come on.” Napatingin ako kay Yckos ng mag salita ito, nakatingin ito sa parating na sasakyan kaya napatingin din ako.

Napakurap ako ng ilang beses ng di ko makilala kung kaninong sasakyan ito.

“Lexus LX”

“Huh?” Nag tatakang baling ko kay Yckos.

“The car..” he said without removing his eyes from the car with full admiration in his eyes. “I asked Dad to buy me one but he said it is too expensive for a college student. He said he will buy me one after I graduated.”

My lips parted. I am not really knowledgeable about cars unlike my guy cousins and my brother. But looking at Yckos now, this car must be really expensive.

Ycos has a car, it is a second hand BMW car, dating kotse ni Uncle n ginamit lang ng ilang beses sa loob ng isang taon, at dahil ayaw nila Uncle I spoil and mag kakapatid, ay wala isa man sakanila ang binilhan ng brand new car ni Uncle kahit pa kanyang kaya nila bumili kahit ilan pa yan since he wants the boys to know that money is something that you have to work on to get ..Hindi ito napupulot lang kundi, pinag hihirapan ito. When the boys turned sixteen, Uncle made the work in their company on summer time, they are paid but just the same salary of the normal worker, so they learned not only about the job from the smallest position but also they learned that money is hard to earn so they must spend it wisely.

“Kanino yan? Kay Kuya Yvo or isa sa kambal?” Doon palang napatingin sa akin si Yckos.

“You’ll see.” He said before he started walking towards the car.

Huminto ang sasakyan at dahil heavily tinted ito ay di ko makita kung sino ang mga nasa loob. Bago pa man kami tuluyan makalapit sa sasakyan ay may bumaba sa driver’s side at halos malaglag ang panga ko ng makita kung sino ito.

“Nice car!” Yckos said before he puts our bags inside the car and while I am staring at the car’s owner.

“Thanks” he said before he looks at me..

“Agape Mou.” He said. He has a lopsided smile on his face.

“What are you doing here?” Kunot noo kong tanong.

“He will be coming with us and sakanya tayo sasabay, you, me and Reed.” Yckos said with a teasing smile and before I can even say something, Reed’s head showed up from the inside of the car.

“Hi Leigh! Let’s go!” Nakangisi nyang sabi bago pumasok uli ng sasakyan. Natatawang pumasok din si Yckos ng sasakyan at iwas kaming dalawa ni Silas.

Bumaling ako kay Silas, he is watching me with a smile on his face.

“Bakit wala ka sakin sinabi kanina na may lakad pala tayo?” Irap ko sakanya.

Silas chuckled and reached for my hand, dahan dahan nya akong hinatak palapit sakanya habang ang mga mata ay seryoso na naka titig saakin. When I am already standing close to him, he placed his hands on my waist while my hands automatically went to his chest as I tried not to get too close to him.

Napatingla ako sakanya, dumukwang ito sakanya at bumalong.

“Yvo said that you like surprises, so..surprise!”

I playfully hit his chest. My cheeks suddenly felt hot.

“Ewan ko sayo.” Pigil ang ngiti na sabi ko. “Buti okay lang sakanila na sumama ka? I mean usually if it’s our cousin bonding time, it is our golden rule na we can’t invite anyone else.” I said to avoid the topic about surprises for I kinda feel shy.

Silas pulled me in a hug.

His arms are warm and comfy, I wish we can stay longer in this position.

“Let’s just say…I was the one who invited Yvo and told him to bring all of you..” proud nyang sabi na ikinatawa ko.

“Galing mo doon ha.” Nakangisi kong sabi.

He chuckled again then licked his lips that made me swallow hard. What he did look so sexy.

“Well, I have to think of ways to be with you all the time that we are both free, that’s my promise to you before, that we will create a lot of memories together, be it with your cousins or friends..or just the two of us.” He winked at me and I fought so hard not to giggle.

“Uhh..lovers, tsaka na lambingan, nag text na si Kuya Yvo na paalis na sila, we also need to go.” Reed said, nakalabas ang ulo nya sa hinata

“Oh my..” nag iinit ang pisngi ko na humakbang paatras.

How did I forget my cousins! Nakakahiya! I closed my eye and bit my lips, I hope they won’t tell our other cousins or else ako na naman aasarin nila!

“Don’t mind them, there’s nothing to be embarrassed about..” he said as if he doesn’t care about what my cousins might think or say?

I took a deep breath.

”Nakakahiya! Ikaw kasi..” I pouted unconsciously.

”Don’t pout, it makes me want to kiss you.” He said huskily while looking at my lips.

I pursed my lips and looked away. Minsan talaga walang preno ang bibig ng lalaking ito!

“Let’s just go.” I said before I started walking towards the shotgun seat narinig ko ang tawa nya pero di ko sya pinansin.

Silas being a gentleman opened the door for me and even put my seatbelt on, I murmured a thank you before he walked towards the driver’s door.

“Haayy..bakit ba tayo ang pinasabay dito? Para tuloy tayong third wheel dito.” Bulong na sabi ni Reed pero narinig ko mabuti.

Napatingin ako sa salamin at nakita ko ang nakasimangot na si Reed.

“You are saying?” Tanong ni Silas na nasa driver’s seat na. Sinara nito ang pinto matapos ay ang suot ng seatbelt.

“Joke lang kuya Silas.” Nag papanic na sabi ni Reed na ikinatawa ko.

“Don’t be bitter dude..” Yckos said na lalong ikina simangot ni Reed. “Instead why don’t you focus on looking for you girl? Para di ka na masabing third wheel”. Nag aasar na sabi ni Yckos.

“Yckos..” pigil ko pero tumawa lang ito at kinindatan ako.

“Hayyy, makatulog na nga lang.” Reed said before he closed his eyes na ikinatawa namin.
