Mamoru’s Point of View-Dragon Clan-“KEEEEI-CHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!!”Screaming at the top of my lungs, I rushed towards Kei who was walking calmly. With me was Shin and Hayato. Shin said that he wanted to cook the most delicious dishes without having anything hold him back, and I seriously want to help him!!!That’s why we have to take him to Kei right now!Kei looked at me, eyes narrowed. With a smile, I halted as we reached him. Shin was probably taken by surprise because when we stopped our tracks, he almost fell down on Kei.“H-Hey!! What’s with the sudden-…!” He shrieked, balancing himself on his feet. Both Hayato and I let go of him, apologizing right after.“Ah” He looked at Kei, “You…!” Pausing mid-sentence, Shin scanned Kei and gazed at his broken arm. Aw… did he just notice that?Kei tilted his head a little, not making any sound for a reaction. If this were a drama or something, there probably would be a big question mark on Kei's head.I mentally laughed.That would be so CUTE!Shin clenched both his fists and then pointed at Kei with his right index finger, “I’m here to challenge you!!”“What?” Kei c****d an eyebrow at him and then looked at me. Huh? W-why is he looking at me like that???Did he think I said something to Shin??Shin scowled, “That’s right! You told me that my cooking last night was horrible, so I came here to challenge you!”Kei frowned.Huh? What’s with that face? Did something bad happen???Something looks off about it…“This Wednesday, come to my shop!! I will let you taste what real food is!!” Shin declared his challenge with enthusiasm.There was no reaction coming from Kei. The frown on his face soon faded and then he looked away from us.“*Ryu-tokage, *Mikoshi-baka” He started to walk away from the scene. At first Shin, Hayato and I were dumbfounded by the lack of reply Kei had made, but eventually, I came around and responded.I still have to get used to Kei doing that… although I’ve adjusted a little bit with his name calling… ahaha…“Ah! Y-yes Kei-chan?”“Home.” He said without looking back at us.Even though we didn’t want to go yet, or at least not leave Shin, Hayato and I followed Kei. We had no choice because we owe him. It was kind of our fault that his arm is like that, so we became his personal bodyguards! I really don’t want to be called a maid… It sounds so perverted…!I don’t ever want to try wearing a maid outfit!!! It’s too embarrassing!!!Even if I did wear one, it's not like Kei would do perverted things to me! R-right?'Ryu-tokage, bend over and show me your legs.'Eeeep!!!! There’s n-no way he would!!!!Kei and I went ahead for a bit because Hayato got Shin’s contacts if ever we needed to reach him.I looked at Kei’s face. It really makes me wonder why he frowned earlier… he seemed... I don’t know, a little uneasy?“Say, Kei-chan…” Even though it was obvious that he wouldn’t respond, I waited for him to say something anyway.I had no idea if he was ever going to bother to say something back, but if ever he did, it would have been too late because Hayato had caught up to us.Maybe I’ll just ask later.When we reached the Scarlet clan home we did the usual things. Hayato and I just talked or did something else in Kei's room while he was reading a book. Although it's been an hour since we met Shin, I felt guilty about just leaving him there. And not just that, I want to help him... but how? Hmm..."Ah!!!" I planted my clenched right hand on the palm of my other hand.I got it!!!"Ryuzaki?" Hayato looked at me curiously."*Ne! Ne! Ne!" I beamed at Hayato, "Neeeeee!~"He jerked away from me, "w-what?? what can master do for you doggy?" he laughed awkwardly."Doggy?" I tilted my head but went back to normal, "Hayato-kun!~ Let’s help Shin-chan!!!"Kei didn't mind us like usual. He was too busy reading his book."I don't mind. But how will we help him?" Hayato replied.I smiled and raised my arms up high, "We'll be his staff! ☆""Staff?!" He shrieked.Eh??? What's with that?He swallowed, "Like as in, we'd be waiters and serve people and stuff?" I nodded and he sighed."I'd love to... b-but people get scared of me. I won't be much help you know.""Why would they be scared of you?" I stared at Hayato closely. He easily backed off from me and took his phone out from his pocket. "Nothing! N-nevermind. Anyway, Let's send Amemiya mail. I have his address." He looked at his phone and started typing.Yes! Our plan of assistance has commenced!! Don't worry Shin-chan, your dream will come true!I looked at Kei and then approached him, "Kei-chan?"He didn’t bother peeking at me and glued his eyes at the book he was reading.Still not responding..."Uhm, Hayato-kun and I are going to help Shin-chan in his shop this Wednesday. So if you’d like, you can come along and watch us!" I gave him a bright smile."Do what you like." He responded, not giving me a single look.Ehh... I wonder why Kei doesn't look at people when he talks to them? Was he a shy type of person? Well, I do admit I was scared of eye contact once too..."Ryuzaki, I mailed him and he replied so quickly!!" Hayato called to me."Oh!!" I beamed at Hayato, "What did he say?""He said thank you and gave me details for Wednesday." Hayato grinned.Instantly, I wrapped my arms around Hayato and squeezed him tightly "Yaaaay!!!"He shrieked in shock, "Ya!!!! Too tight!!"It made me happy. I always feel this way whenever I would help others in need. I am so excited!!!When Wednesday came Hayato and I went to where Shin's shop was. The place was still closed but we were able to go inside once Shin saw us.The three of us were now in the employee's lounge room.Hayato and I stood beside each other while Shin was in front of us."The system is pretty much ordinary here. Take orders, give them to me, serve, get paid and clean up." Shin explained briefly.Both of us nodded."Any questions?"Hayato raised his hand. "Yes?" Shin asked."So are we just supposed to wear these?" Hayato pointed at himself, "or do we have uniforms?"Shin had his hands on his hips. He then grinned."NO WAY!! ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME?"After Shin smiled at Hayato’s question, he made us change into our erm... uniforms."Sorry but you guys volunteered for this~" Shin giggled as he exited the lounge to the kitchen.Hayato scowled at his fading figure, "You never mentioned about us doing m-maid cosplay!!!!!!!"Yeah... We ended up wearing real maid outfits. T-this is so embarrassing... but for the sake of Shin's dream!!!!! I have to endure!!!!I placed my palm on Hayato's shoulder. He looked at me, "Ha? Ryuzaki?"I gave him a stern look, "Hayato-kun""What?"Lifting my free hand, I gave him a thumbs up. Then came my Shining Mamoru smile!"BE ENTHUSIASTIC ☆!!""YAAAA!" he shrieked, backing away from me while covering his face with his arms."LET'S ☆ GO!" I walked out of the lounge.Hayato followed soon after and now we were all on the *floor. Shin was at the door, preparing to announce that we were open.Shin looked at us, "Are ya ready guys?""OOOOOOH!!!" Both Hayato and I yelled in a way foot soldiers from the *Sengoku era would respond to their warlords.Shin grinned, "Yosh. Put ya guns on!!!!"As soon as Shin swung the door open, a stampeding crowd rushed in the shop's premises."Ahhhh!!!! help!!!" Hayato shouted. We surrounded by people. No, rather, we were being drowned by a sea!!! We have to do something!!!"Hayato-kun!!! I'm coming!!!" I shouted at him. He was a bit far from me now because people had pushed him away.Yosh!!! Let's go!!!!I took out swimming goggles from my pocket. It was conviently in the pockets of this dress. Eheh!Putting them on, I clasped my palms together and exhaled.It's time to swim... Free!I dove into the crowd, doing a breaststroke towards Hayato’s direction.The current was against me, but I have to endure it!! For the team!!!!"Hayato-kun!!!" I shouted. I was almost near him, all I needed was to grab him and then we could escape to safety."R-Ryuzaki!" He squirmed.I frantically tried to grab his hand but failed to. "Hayato-kun!! Hold my hand!!""Gaaah!!! Ryu...!!" He yelled one last time and desperately reached for my hand. He was successful and held his hand tightly.I pulled us both away from the crowd, trying with all my might to bring us to the counter where it was safe.When we reached the counter, we were catching our breath."Ryuzaki...! you saved me!!!" Hayato held both of my hands and had tears in his eyes, "Thank you!!!!""Eheheh, it's no big of a deal!" I smiled."By the way" he let go of me and gazed at my face, "Where did you get those goggles from??"I pointed at my eyes, "Oh these?"Before I could continue what I was going to say, Shin had appeared from the kitchen and smiled at us."You two are so cute.""Eh?!" both Hayato and I blinked in surprise. Hayato approached Shin with eyes wide open, "Amemiya?! How did you get here so fast??""Me?" Shin asked and then smiled, "I just said excuse me to everyone and that I needed to go to the kitchen.""Whaaaaat?!?!?" Again, Hayato and I reacted in unison.He gave a thumbs up, "You guys were so dramatic earlier! Maybe you should consider getting an acting career when you graduate."Hayato fell down on his knees and spoke weakly like a ghost, "T-that bastaaaaard......"I scratched my head and patted him on the back, "Nehh cheer up. We have a long day ahead!"And so our job has begun!!! We did the things that Shin told us to. Although it was difficult because it was my first time doing and that there were, uhm, a few harassments coming from the customers, I had fun!!!By closing time I was wiping the tables.DingThe bell hanging by the door made a sound. Somebody had come in the shop.I shifted my view towards the door and cheerfully announced, "I'm sorry, but we're already cl-..."I stopped talking midway as I saw the person who had entered.A bright smile was brought to my face.I dropped the washcloth and hurriedly ran to the door."Keeei-chan!!! You came!!!!"Without thinking I gave him a big hug. Of course, I was also careful as to not hurt his arm.Heh, Kei's head was just by my chest. That's so cute!"Ryuzaki? What's with the noise?" Hayato came out from the kitchen with Shin.Hayato looked at us in surprise, "Ah! Ohno-san..."Kei didn't respond verbally like usual. Instead, his reaction was... kind of funny.His eyes were narrowed and his mouth was half open. He scanned Hayato up and down, and then gazed at me."... C-cosplay?" He asked with an unsure tone.I let go of him and twirled with a smile on my face, "Kei-chaaan! Am I cute?""Ah. Ohno, so you arrived." Shin interrupted. Kei looked at Shin, gaining back his usual blank expression. Shin narrowed his eyes at Kei and clenched his fist.He stared at him with burning intensity.Suddenly, Shin lifted his arm and presented a paper bag with something inside it.Kei tilted his head."This is my challenge. So eat it."Sighing, Kei took the bag and opened it. He then grabbed a piece of what was inside.On Kei's hand was a perfectly light brown colored cookie. It had sugar sprinkled on it and it was of the shape of a bunny's head."Eh?! You made that, Amemiya? Amazing...." Hayato looked at shin excitedly. Shin simply nodded, not taking his eyes off of Kei.Kei then took a bite off from the cookie, chewing the bits he took in.He swallowed quietly and then frowned.Eh? There's that same frown again from earlier...Was there something wrong...?He turned around and was now facing the door, "Horrible."Without anything else to say, Kei exited the shop.The room fell silent. Footsteps were then heard as Shin walked away to the kitchen.N-no way... was Shin..."Amemiya..." Hayato said softly. He patted me on the back, "Ryu, I'll help Amemiya clean up. Go on ahead and take Ohno home."I nodded quietly and went to change in the lounge. Afterward, I went out of the shop to catch up to Kei.He was walking alone, having the paper bag Shin gave in his arms."Kei-chan!" I called, rushing towards him.We were now walking side by side. The road was a little dark now but there were street lights so it was okay.I wonder why Kei likes walking?"Kei-chan! You know today was really fun!" I tried to start a conversation with him. Though it was obvious he wouldn’t respond much.Well, it's okay, it's kind of fun being this way with him."There was this costumer that tried to get my number earlier because he thought I was into guys!!" I said in a scared tone, "But Hayato saved me!" I smiled."Ah! Speaking of Hayato, we almost drowned earlier when we opened the shop! The crowd felt like the ocean!"I then laughed, "And what was weird was, when I checked the pockets of that maid outfit, there were swimming goggles!"My laughter was ceased as soon as I heard the sound of a biscuit being bitten."Eh?" I froze in place.Kei was a few steps ahead of me but he stopped and looked at me.He blinked. His eyes didn't have the usual gloomy look, instead, they looked bright and shining.My eyes widened as I saw what was in front of me.Kei was munching a piece of Shin's cookies.W-woah."K-kei-chan! You're eating it!" I approached him, still amazed by what just happened.He didn't respond, finishing the baked goodie on his hand.I felt a burning in my chest. Well, a good kind of burning. It was so hot that I couldn't stop myself from smiling like an idiot."Are they good?? They're also cute right?? Little bunny-chans!~" I said cheerfully as we started walking together again.Shin's dream is going to come true. I had lots of fun with Hayato. Many were smiling today because of our hard work.And I got to see Kei-chan with a happy face!~ it was so cute!Today was a really good day.I feel like I've gotten closer to Kei now.I just can't stop smiling...
