CHAPTER TWENTY-THREE Later that day, back at the hotel, Sara began to pack up her belongings and said that her parents were coming to collect her. They had wanted to see her for days but she had told them she wanted some alone time with George. She couldn’t live in a hotel for ever and she didn’t want to go back to her house, even if she were allowed to, so she was going to have to move back home for a while. It wasn’t ideal. She had lived on her own for a few years and as much as it would be lovely to be wrapped up in cotton wool for a few days, she suspected it would soon become suffocating. George was being very quiet. She could sense he wanted her to stay but they both knew that wasn’t an option. “Why don’t you invite your parents into the hotel for dinner? I’d like to meet them.” T
