CHAPTER SIXTEEN
Panicking, George burst through the door leading to the kitchen. Sara was not in there either but the back door was ajar. George hastily made his way through his small galley kitchen, knocking a bread board with a buttered knife off the surface and on to the floor. Sara was standing on the back step.
“What are you doing?” he asked standing behind her. “You need to come in. You are at risk and this is about to go down at any moment. Come inside.”
Sara squeezed past him back into the house, keeping her eyes to the floor.
Chief Inspector Wilson ran over what they were all to do. Sara was to wait at George’s with him. George was to drive DC Barnes to Sara’s house and follow her into the house and then immediately leave.
