Chapter 13“Are you okay?”
It was the night of Pablo’s dad’s birthday party. Keenan glanced over in Pablo’s direction as he shut the door to his car. He had picked Pablo up from his house because the two of them decided they would drive over to the birthday party together. He nodded slightly before returning his gaze toward Pablo’s parents’ house. It had been years since he last stepped into the house. His memories of its contents and most of the details of what he and Pablo had done inside the house were rather hazy now, but he had vague images here and there as he thought about some of the rooms within. There were also the swimming pool in the backyard and the beautiful garden in it, but he couldn’t recall every single item that was there. Then again, he had been really young back then.
