Chapter - 4

THAT NIGHT, Solana chose to sleep in the servants' quarters—a decision she made to avoid Henry's presence. Even though the double-deck bed in that room was spacious and soft, sleep still eluded her. The memory of Henry choking her earlier and the heat of his body pressing against hers felt like a curse that refused to leave her. It was midnight when Solana suddenly jolted awake. It felt as if her bed was caught in an earthquake. The upper portion of the bunk bed was shaking, and the sound of the wood creaking as if it were about to break echoed through the silent room. Solana furrowed her brow. She slowly sat up, sensing her surroundings to see if it was a strong earthquake. However, she didn't hear the earth moving; instead, she heard a moan coming from below—from Ana's spot. She peered down and was shocked by the obscenity unfolding between the two. Under the cold moonlight filtering through the window, she saw a sight she never expected. A naked man was on top of Ana. His broad back showed hard muscles rippling with every violent thrust. Despite the darkness, Solana knew every line of that body all too well. "Ughh... "Henry... more... ohhh..." Ana moaned, sounding crazed and hoarse. Solana’s breath hitched. She didn't know why her chest suddenly tightened, as if thousands of needles were piercing her heart. "Fck, Ana... fck," Henry’s voice groaned, confirming without a doubt that it was indeed him. "Stay right there... don't you dare move..." he added. Every rise and fall of Henry’s body felt like a punishment to Solana. The ferocity of his every movement caused a loud slapping sound of skin against skin, a rhythm that synced with the frantic beating of Solana's heart. Solana gripped the side of the bed, her hands trembling. "Ahhhh! Henry! More... ahhh!" Ana screamed, seemingly uncaring if she woke the entire mansion. The maid’s fingers dug into Henry’s back, pulling him down to deepen every thrust of his possession. "You want more? Take it, you b*tch!" Henry cursed, followed by faster and deeper lungs. His growls were like those of an animal releasing all the rage and tension built up in his body. Solana covered her mouth. Her tears began to fall uncontrollably. Why was it like this? Why was she hurting? She shouldn't have cared because Henry was her husband’s son. But seeing the man who had nearly taken her dignity earlier now on top of another woman caused her an inexplicable pain. Solana felt her throat tighten. Every "Henry" that Ana gasped at felt like a slap to her face. "F*ck... I'm going to... ughhh!" Henry’s final grunt came before his body tensed violently. Solana withdrew her gaze and lay back down. With every breath of Henry’s that she heard from below, her sanity seemed to slowly crumble. A jealousy she should not be feeling had finally taken root—a forbidden emotion far more dangerous than Henry’s wrath.
