Chapter 1

Roxana's POV

Today is Monday, that means I should go to University and work. I work at a Cafe that located a bit far from my university. The salary is not high so I someday do part-time jobs. The Autumn's first month is going to end which means I get my payment from Cafe work. I promised my siblings to take them to an outing because I couldn't do it for a long time. I like my siblings and don't want them to struggle with unending problems.

We lived well in the past, I mean before my mother's death. My mother passed away because of illness and after that my father started to do gambling and drinking. We got into a big debt because of his gambling and I'm trying to pay both his debts and our daily needs. He was nice man and loved all of us I've never thought things will change this much after mother's death but what can I do, It's my fate so I should endure it and do my best for my sister and brother.

I have shower and started to make breakfast, I don't know what to make for breakfast because there are not that many ingredients in the house. Hmm what should I do....? Oh! I can make omelet, eggs don't costs much anyway :)

"Morning~~~ my dear sister"

"Oh! morning Amelia did you sleep well?"

"Yes sis I did, what about you?"

" Me too. I'm making omelet do you want to eat. I know it's not glorious food but at least I'm trying to make them more delicious by adding some other things what'd you say?"

" Honestly, I don't care as long as my stomach is full~~~. You already know that, no?"

"Haha, I know that but still I wanted to hear your thoughts."

" Sis~ I'll eat whatever you give me just make sure it's not poison ok?"

"Aha, I will, don't worry and wake Leonardo up otherwise he will be late for school moreover you should hurry up too if you don't want to hear scolding from Mrs. Quinn."

"Omg!!! you're right I'll wake Leonardo and start to get ready, how can I forget the first lesson Is that snake's. You are an angel sis."

( Ten minutes later )

"Good morning sister. Did you sleep well last night?"

"Good morning Leonardo. I slept well thank you for asking I hope that you did too."

" I slept well too. What are you making for breakfast? The smell is so nice."

" I'm making omelet and this one is for you. Enjoy~~"

"Gimme too sister~~ or else I'm going to eat his omelet."

"Sure, sure this is for you and don't forget to eat slowly okay~~"

"Don't worry I have good manners you see? hehe."

Now I'm going to University by bus, I don't want to spend too much money, that's why I'm using public transport. Sometimes, I wonder how our life would be if mother was alive. We could go out for picnics or amusement parks, just like in the past...

I shouldn't think about things like that. I'm all grown up and have responsibilities, there's don't have a time for me to be depressed. I am strong and it will always be like that.

"Roxi, how was your weekend? I miss you so much."

"Rose, the weekend was as quiet as always and I miss you too, how can I not miss you."

"You are so lucky, do you know why?"

"Hmm.... I don't have any idea, you tell me"

"Because you have me. Am I wrong?"

"Yeah yeah, you are right, I'm the happiest student because I have you as a friend. It's almost time to class, we should hurry Rose."

"Oops, you're right, we really should."

Rose Castillo, my best friend. We have known each other since we were in high school. She has really good parents and friendly personality. She is good to good and bad to bad, I like this side of her. Her parents live at abroad so she lives in an apartment. She always took my side when other rich girls bullied me, I'm not a weak girl I know how to protect myself and fight. When I was twelve my parents told me that girls should know how to protect themselves so I started to learn fighting. I'm not an expert but I learned fighting very well... until my mother's death.

"Hey Roxi, are you here?"

"Uh um yes why?"

" I just wanted to ask you if you are free this weekend"

"Why, do you need any help or something?"

" She just wants to go to the nightclub, everyone's saying there is a new club that has recently opened, they said it has strict security and high quality. Moreover, it's Lily's birthday this weekend so we are planning to have a party there." Sarah said.

"Ummm I should think about it you know I have younger siblings right?"

"Ah yes, I know but still, we want to celebrate it with you, please~~~ it won't take too long, I can give you a ride if you want to go back ok?" Sarah said to me with her unrejectable puppy eyes.

"I look at my schedule and give you my answer until weekend, Is that alright with you?" and I sighed knowing that I can't make them agree this time.

"It's alright, we will wait but give us a positive answer ok?" Lily said with pleading eyes.

"OK I'll try" I said and class ended.

Sarah and Lily is my other friends from this university. We get along well because all of us are hardworking students. We became friends while doing our given project.

Our opinions was very much alike so we didn't struggled to get along. Sarah is from prestigious family and has her own car and apartment, Lily is her roommate Sarah suggested living together and Lily agreed with it for condition of paying half of the rent. Since then, they live together.

Classes has ended, now I'm going to work, by bus as always. My employer is very kind man so I like my job. I work as a waitress there, I can do other works if some of my colleague is absent.

"Hi, Ana! How was your day?"

"Hey! Xander, its going well. How is work?"

"You know how I attract girls, so work is going as smoothly as always" he winks.

"Yeah. Except me."

"You are so tough, even my good looks don't attract you. Unbelievable."

"Quit this nonsense, I should start working, I don't want my payment to get reduced."

"Sure, keep the good work, I trust you."

"Yeah, yeah handling everything is my specialty anyway." I wave at him and start serving customers. Xander is my colleague, he is friendly, tall and kind boy with blond hair and green eyes. He helped me to get used in work so I'm grateful for his help.

The work ended late, I'm so exhausted. I'm going to see if my father is home he leaves without warning so we don't know when he will come.

Yes, he is not at home as I predicted, and my sibling are asleep. I go to my room and have a shower, having shower is the best thing after the hard work and I like the water to be warm. It's a good feeling if I be honest. The day just passed like this, very odd nothing new. I thought about what to do before darkness consumed me.
