Apologizes

1105 Words
Ava’s Point of View Both Sophie and I shielded ourselves from the attacks of the people surrounding us from all corners. “Guy, please stop this. Ava isn't a bad person.” My heart pounded in my chest as Lily’s voice echoed; she had clearly provoked everyone against me, and now she would act like a saint. The angry people seemed to stop throwing things at us because of Lily’s words. Lily acting like a good person she's clearly not , walked to me and Sophie, a smirk on her lips. “You need to go on your knees and apologize to me, or else I'm going to let these people kill you.” Lily’s voice was barely above a whisper. Her eyes twinkled with happiness. My jaws clenched. Rage coursed through me. I threw her a sharp glare. “I'd rather die than apologize to you, and I'm sure you already know that.” I retorted. She scoffed and moved closer to me, wrapping her arms around me. “Watch how I send you to your grave.” Grabbing my hands, she threw her weight on the ground, making it look as if I pushed her over. Just then, Julian arrived with Ethan following behind him. Lily let out a fake scream, tears streaming down her face. Julian's eyes widened as they darted over to me and Lily. He rushed over to her. I didn't get a chance to react when a sharp, piercing bottle hit my head, shattering into pieces. Some of the pieces pierced into my skin, and blood started dripping out. “She is evil, she doesn't deserve to live.” One of the angry community members shouted, and they all started throwing things at me, and dizziness started washing over me. The world around me started blurring into darkness, but I could see Julian scooping Lily in his arms. Despite seeing what was happening, he walked away with her. Sophie was screaming her lungs out, probably because of the blood dripping from my head. Ethan scooped me in his arms, rushing to his car, but I couldn't keep my eyes open. I slipped into darkness, everything shutting down. I woke up to the sound of the beeping machine. I sat up on the bed, and winced at the sharp pain that cut through my head. As I held my head, my fingers were welcomed by a soft fabric. The memories of everything that had happened began replaying in my mind. A deep breath escaped my lips. I will let Julian and Lily do as they please, but I'm very sure of one thing: they aren't going to get away with it. “What's wrong with you, Ava? Why can't you leave Lily alone? Do you want her to die before her time?” My eyes snapped to the sound of Julian’s voice, cold and distant. “I should be asking you the same question. When are you and your girlfriend going to leave me alone?” I retorted sternly. I honestly have one prayer, that God doesn't create more spineless men like Julian, because a lot of women are going to suffer. “Stop acting like a victim!” Julian snapped. He walked over to me, and I winced in pain as he grabbed my hair, reopening my wounds on my head. “Lily is admitted to the hospital because of you, and you are going to apologize to her.” I scoffed, trying to bear with the pain. “Lily is a human and I'm a robot. Is that what you are trying to say? Am I not admitted to the hospital? At least she wasn't bleeding, but I came here in a pool of blood.” I taunted, his grip tightened on my head, increasing the pain in my head. “Even if you die, I don't even care, but I can't bear to see tears in Lily’s eyes. Do you understand, and you are going to apologize to her?” His voice was low and menacing. “The same goes for me, I don't dare to see if Lily cries or dies. It's none of my business, I'm not her lover.” I retorted, my eyes filled with unshed tears, but I'm not going to shed them. It's his time, he can do whatever he wants, my time is coming. I moved my hand to the nightstand and grabbed a jug of water from there. I hit him so hard on the head that it broke into pieces just like it happened to me. His clothes got drenched with water mixed with blood dripping from his head. He stumbled a step back, his hand holding onto his head. “Don't confuse me with your mistress Julian Styles. I am not going to tolerate your nonsense, and if you dare keep on messing with me, I will ruin your little reputation in a few seconds.” My voice was unexpectedly calmer than I'd imagined; it felt as though each and every day, my feelings for him are dying, and I'm loving the process. Julian threw me a sharp glare. “You are going to pay for this.” I let out an amused chuckle. “Oh, I'm scared! But guess what? I don't care. Do what you have to but stay out of my sight.” Without a word, he stormed out of the ward. I shook my head as he slammed the door shut behind him, which was opened a few seconds after it was closed. Ethan stepped into the ward, his brows furrowed, confused. “What was he doing here? Did he hurt you?” He asked in a voice laced with fake worry. It took everything in me not to scoff. “No, he didn't hurt me. I actually decided to forgive both Lily and Julian. I'm going back home, and we will continue living like we used to.” I lied through my teeth. His expression darkened at my words. If he thought he could make a fool out of me, then he had another thing coming. “Ava, why would you go back to a man like Julian? He doesn't deserve you, and you know that. And what about our plans?” He asked, clearly trying to control his rage, but I kept a straight face. “Ethan, I've made my decision, okay, stop asking me a lot of questions, and leave me alone. I'm tired and I need to rest.” I didn't wait for him to utter a word as I lay on the bed, pulling the blanket over my head.
