Axel finally pulled the car to a smooth stop in front of Kingston Estate, the tires crunching lightly over the gravel driveway.
Ivy exhaled, her fingers already curling around the door handle but before she could push it open, Axel’s hand shot out…catching her wrist.
Her breath hitched as he tugged her back, his other hand sliding behind her neck, fingers tangling in the hem of her skirt . His eyes were dark, hungry, and before she could even utter a word, his mouth crashed against hers.
