Epilogue The truck driver turned off the UHF and rubbed his tired eyes. It seemed that the road and the countryside were beginning the meld into one, a sensation that didn't surprise him much. He needed to sleep, had probably needed it hours ago, but he was too close to home to stop now. The last nap he'd had been on the side of the road near Mildura, and even then it couldn't have been more than 20 minutes.
