25 For a while at least, Marilyn was happy. Deal or No Deal was on and she sipped at her tea as the late afternoon rays slanted through the living room window, warming her shoulders. She hadn’t heard a peep from those ‘reev-heads’ or whoever they had been since hearing the sirens. She reckoned Craig must have turned them on in his cruiser to give them a scare. Teenage boys, they would have been she reckoned, and Constable Morris would have given them a stern talk, maybe even a warning. She was yet to know for sure of course but had little doubt that she would hear about it in the coming days.
