Phillip
Phillip had prepared much more than a ceremony for his new wife. He’d begged the palace chefs to stay up with him throughout the night. They made a feast. All he wanted as he issued the orders was for Aurora to know how much he loved her, for her to feel safe before closing her eyes.
He hadn’t admitted to himself that he’d needed to feel safe as well. He’d needed his family around him. And now Aurora would be his always, yet his father was gone.
He’d missed the final month of his father’s life, yet he didn’t want to regret any of his time with Aurora. Phillip had always believed in reasons. Everything had one. Every action. Every word. Every event.
