"Let us ask Stella what her blood group is," I suggested to Alan, desperation dripping in every word. It was a fact, which with each passing second was slipping further away.
"Yes, you are right," Alan replied, and immediately urgent tone entered his voice, "and with each passing moment, our stake goes high, while we will be left with just a little window for availing options to save the life of Sarah."
Alan, without wasting a single moment, telephoned our driver and ordered him to rush to the house and bring Stella back as soon as possible, explaining the critical nature of the situation.
"Please, ensure you are quick, because time is of the essence, and Sarah's life is hanging precariously in the balance," Alan pleaded.
