I'm torn awake when I hear the gunshots and the screaming. Alaric told me whatever I do, never look out the window. It's not worth the risk of getting seen or the sight itself. The battle cries continue. I try my hardest not to look. But I couldn't quench my curiosity. The room lit up with an orange light coming from outside. All I could hear were shouts. They cheered over something and a lot of stomping. I heard cars driving by and beams of light through the curtain touching the walls of the room. How could I not look at what's going on?
